No thanks, I'm not really into brain rot, but I have nothing against people wanting what they want unless it's a form of control over another.

Just one of the characteristics people have noticed about games which turn out to be utter garbage....in addition to you defending them with infantile pretzel logic.

So watching a game preview on YouTube, you’ll sit there screening for overuse of the color purple because that’s typically a sign that the game will be… and I quote… utter garbage?

No, I wait for you to defend it with infantile pretzel logic, laugh at it failing miserably when sales dont meet expectations, laugh even harder when the studio gets shut down or has to fire its staff of retarded developers, then notice that a common design aesthetic of all the garbage games you defended is an over use of a putrid purple palette.

So yes, the games you defend tend to be utter garbage, and also happen to overuse the colour purple. Amazing coincidence.

so GTA VI is going to 'fail miserably'??...LOL...but you'll find some twisted logic where if it makes $7 billion you'll say "see it didn't sell as many copies as the previous game so that proves it was a failure"...and what about the games that use the color that were major hits?...doesn't fit your narrative so you ignore them?

WHERE did I say it was going to fail? This is the problem with asinine soyboy logic used by people who think they can intelligently debate but are incapable of nuance or are outright disingenuous (i.e. pathological liars). GTAVI could be a full blown pride parade tranny simulator and it will still sell billions on its name alone. The exception doesn't make the rule, and doesn't mean that it's not going to be overflowing with ideological nonsense that would sink any other game not called GTA.

And I will wait here whilst you name all the "major hits" that used this colour palette, which even if they exist won't outnumber the flops.

"gay, retarded and sanitized so they can sell online to kids"

Yeah I remember seeing the original video that Asmon's reacting to. I wasn't going to buy it because GTA is a little too rough for my kids' age range at this point but after seeing that staff photo and the GTA Online clips? Aww hewww nawww. I had no idea it's gotten this bad. The fuck.

Car lease would disagree
Except you can buy out a lease and they're otherwise just extended rentals with mileage restrictions.

Despite having a PS5, I'll prolly be waiting for the PC port or for it to be $10 or less on sale as I did for GTA5. To me GTA5 was by far the weakest story since GTA 3. It was still good overall, but for whatever reason didn't stick with me as the previous games did. And I expect this game's story to be worse since it will be for a "modern" audience, so much less controversial or realistic. I'll be amazed if they even say N-word in it at this point.

I'm sure it will be hugely successful still, but I kinda hope it doesn't meet their sales targets at least just to show once and for all that bloated budgets and development time frames are more of a detriment to games than genuinely good ideas that are commited to and not filtered out by design-by-commitee style studios. Which I image has to be the case with Rockstar here.

I honestly wish they would just "update" GTA 3 (and VC and SA) and GTA 4 with quality of life improvements and keep the original soundtracks. Release it has a $30 compilation and it's an instant buy for me. I'll find a way to play it without the kids watching.

Seems like that's too much to ask for these days though.

Sigh. Pirating was never stealing, its copyright infringement. Making a copy of some digital bits is not stealing. Taking a physical copy out of a store is stealing.

This may be the first Grand Theft Auto game I don't buy. The whole locking content behind an ultimate edition is horse shit that I'm sick of dealing with. I may put up with it if it looks like the game is worth but it's already a strike against it. Thankfully since I'm waiting for the PC release I'll see how much they have ruined the Grand Theft Auto series. If it turns out to be babies first GTA where they removed everything offensive because Rockstar lost their balls I'll probably skip it.

Ja, the outsourced demasters of the GTA3 trilogy are still terrible.

What the?

I'll wait. As always, I'm not going to pay a premium $80 or $100 to playtest a new game. GTA V was riddled with bugs, but at least I got it gifted to me. I'll pay $14.99 a few years later like I did with RDR2 when most of all the bugs have been resolved.
exactly this.. zero reason to buy single player games day1.. Let the lemmings beta test it for triple the price...

Same. I have no doubt it will be successful, I just hope it under performs.

Lol, I'll be patient and wait it out too but $10 is a long wait. GTA 7 will be around the corner before that happens.

I might buy on PC at the $50 price point for ultimate edition

Well I got GTA 5 for PS4 about 4-5 years after launch for $15 or $20 new I think. Then I got it again for free on PC on EGS a few years ago. So I'll prolly do something similar here with GTA 6.

Lol. That video was stupid, Asmon whatever is a troll. GTA will be GTA, buy it, pirated it, don't play it whatever. These posts feel more toxic and full of snow than a lobby in the height of the Oppressor MKII lol.
Game will be fine. I think its over priced and a paywall for content is stupid but I see nothing that looks less fun than GTA1, 2, 3, VC, SA, 4, 5, or online. I never played these games for the story.

I paid 10 dollars for V and got a free copy a few years later. Will repeat for 6 and have a blast in an open world cruising around taking in the scenery and get more than my money's worth.

I have a hunch that they'll loose the two-tier crap for the PC version. They might be able to pull this crap with the console crew, but PC gamers are much more resistant to this crap, just think of their PSN fiasco.

Since they went back and removed things from GTA V, I think it is pretty much guaranteed that it will be sanitized.

but PC gamers are much more resistant to this crap

PCs do have standard and ultimate versions on day 1, but fortunately when it's from a port they had to wait for publishers typically don't do that trick twice.

Yes, but it's usually season passes and early access that comes with the ultimate and maybe one or two gimmicky but ultimately useless in-game items, not the entire customization mechanic locked to it.

I've never seen this egregious difference, it's as if the ship builder in starfield was only accessible in the ultimate edition.
GTA IV will require age verification and possibly digital ID in order to play.
I want to see them try.
That might actually be the one thing that can make this game underperform.

Sorry, I have no clue what this represents. I haven't heard of this, which means it probably wasn't that big of a controversy. I assume you show this as some sort of gotcha, but nothing you bring up can erase how sony was forced to reverse the psn account linking requirement in helldivers 2.

I have no doubt that the game will be almost immediately hacked. There was something yesterday that it will take nearly 700gb to install the game

Yea there is no way this game going to be 700gb. I think it might be around 250gb.

yeah no way is the game going to be 700GB...zero chance...that would mean OG PS5 owners would only have enough storage space for GTA 6 and maybe 1 other game

MW2 did not have dedicated servers. For a lot of PC gamers that was a deal breaker and a lot of Steam groups formed saying they would not buy it if it shipped with no server browser. Most of them ended up buying it anyways, and screen shots were taken of these "we won't buy MW2" groups where most of the people in them had purchased were were concurrently playing MW2. Point being most gamers will end up buying something regardless.

Not directly comparable to what is going on now but just putting the background there.

Even less relevant these days given PC physical media has been completely eliminated, and now its just a question of the source of your digital download (free vs legit). The high seas has been making a strong come back, especially now that Denuvo has been completely bypassed.

Told the guy at work if this game is all fetch quests I'm not going to buy it.

Completely? I mean sure with a suspect workaround.

There is a cracker who cracked a game day 1 recently. Real cracks, not hypervisor by passes. Of course more games use Denuvo and the backlog of uncracked games is large so it will take a while assume said cracker keeps cracking. RDR2 used an in house Denuvo like technology that remained uncracked for something like two years before someone cracked it. I assume they are doing the same again, especially now that someone is regularly cracking Denuvo. I also assume said cracker will probably tackle Rockstar's in house DRM.

If you ore-order the game, you get 1 month free of GTA+. If you don't cancel it, you will be charged $7 per month until you do. I heard about it from Valve.
