Hi All,

I hope everyone's doing OK despite the craziness in the world (including but not limited to post end of 2025 tech apocalypse). I feel like HardForum FS/T isn't as active in this most recent apocalypse year one as in past years but it's really nice to come back here and see some old names + do some trades. I should probably explore more of the forum outside of FS/T lol.

I have some random old but hopefully use-able hardware which I'd love to pass along to anyone who can make use before I a) try Facebook Marketplace or b) take it to e-waste recycling.

For local, I'm regularly between Central LA and Pasadena so happy to drop off anywhere along that path (at my convenience).

>> CAN SHIP <<

CPU
-- Intel Core i3-12100 (DEAD)
>> Was looking for a cheap LGA1700 testing CPU, purchased off FB Marketplace (shipping), went to use it, won't POST. Seller tells me (after purchase complete) that the CPU went kaput while mounted in his system and he wasn't sure if it was still working (clearly not). Luckily FB Marketplace has pretty solid buyer protections (as of now) and I got my money back. Might make for a good practice CPU for delidding or something? It looks like one of the capacitors along the bottom edge is crooked, maybe it's repairable? This is the first dead CPU I've ever encountered and luckily it wasn't caused by me so not really sure what to do. Suppose it is the definition of e-waste if the previous owner fried it, what a shame.

AIO / CPU Coolers
-- CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm - Intel Only (CW-9060006-WW) --
>> This came with an old Core G3 case I bought and I removed it without testing as 120MM AIOs are pointless in the era of cheap 240+ AIOs and well designed air coolers. Old reddit says this AIO is really loud too so what exactly is the point lol. Sidebar, I was able to cram a modern 240MM AIO in that G3 and am relatively proud of pulling it off lol. This H50 comes with the LGA 2011 / 115x mounting bracket (no AMD bracket) and a slim 120MM fan. Maybe you can throw it on a GPU or something?

-- Arctic Alpine 17 CO (LGA 1700 Only) Cooler
>> I honestly have no idea where this came from but it's sitting around in my stash and is compete in box. Useful for test benching as the mounting system does not require a backplate. In the same vein as above: "what is the point?".

MISC HARDWARE
-- LG 8x Slim Portable DVD Writer (SP80NB80)
>> Came to me in a bundle of parts, comes with USB cable and box. Haven't tested but assume it works OK. I don't even have any DVD-R or RWs anymore, college me would be surprised...

-- Amazon M.2 NVME to PCI-E 3.0 Adapter (1x)
>> Same bundle of parts. Oddly enough, the motherboard this was mounted on had native NVME slots but I believe the owner didn't want to bother (or didn't know) how to access them to mount the NVME that was attached to this thing.

>> LOCAL ONLY <<

UPS
-- CyberPower 1500VA 900W 8 Outlets UPS
>> Old style, purchased in 2014 from TigerDirect (remember them?). Worked well, only saw a small handful of power outages and the most action it ever saw was complaining loudly when the batteries went out. Has been through 3x battery replacements over the last decade plus, the latest a pair of new Bright Way batteries from Battery Sharks purchased and installed in Jan - Feb 2026. The unit was retired in late Feb 2026 when I lucked into a PR1500LCD locally to replace this unit. When I lived with my family, they complained it was loud and the LCD / power LED was too bright blue so FYI. I think they were too picky, like the thing is literally keeping hardware alive during outages and spikes...

PSUs
-- Seasonic SS-520GM M12II-520 Bronze (not the Evo or ^2) Semi-Modular w/all cables --
>> This is a really old PSU from my sibling's college ITX build (circa 2013) which I actually purchased on Hardforum (Gmail is like a time capsule...). It powered a Z270 + 6700K + 1070ish GPU then a 4070 for more than a decade before it was replaced by an actual SFX PSU. It did a great job during its time in service but it's a dated group-regulated PSU design and I don't have any personal machines to put it in. It's coming full circle back to Hard and looking for a new home.

-- Corsair TX650w Non-Modular --
>> I removed this from an early AM4 build that was passed to me for refurbishing and replaced it with a more modern PSU because the system was going to be sold to a stranger. It worked fine powering a B450M + Ryzen 5500 + 1080Ti in the minute or two it was mounted in my care and powered a similar build before then. Hoping it can go to a good home too.

Monitors
-- HP Pavilion 27xw 27" LCD Monitor - Glossy, IPS, 1080p, 60hz, 2x HDMI + VGA, external PSU
>> This was given to me by my sibling from their work due to an office move. Gave it a quick test with laptop HDMI and it works fine. I didn't run any pixel tests. It's got good screen size but 60hz is pretty dated in 2026 and glossy is a choice lol. Comes with an anti-peek over shoulder security screen thingie if you want, like the ones at the library.

-- 1x Dell 22" U2211Ht - 1080p, 60hz, IPS w/ DP + DVI + HDMI + USB hub
>> Good condition, used by my parents until I upgraded them. Has vertical up + down and horizontal full tilt 90 degrees so useful if you want a vertical screen somewhere.

-- 1x Dell 23" P2311Hb - 1080p, 60hz, TN w/ DVI + VGA + USB hub
>> Good condition, passed to me for refurbishing. No HDMI / DP is a bit annoying but DVI cables are relatively cheap. Has vertical up + down and horizontal full tilt 90 degrees so useful if you want a vertical screen somewhere.

-- 1x Dell 23" P2311Hb - 1080p, 60hz, TN w/ DVI + VGA + USB hub
>> Set of scratches center + right of screen. No pixel damage apparent, looks to just be on the surface. Passed to me for refurbishing but Reddit says LCD screens have no clearcoat so put Vaseline on it???. No HDMI / DP is a bit annoying but DVI cables are relatively cheap. Has vertical up + down and horizontal full tilt 90 degrees so useful if you want a vertical screen somewhere.

Hope to be able to post more soon. Stay frosty, Hardforum!

Too bad you can't ship or I'd take both those power supplies to just north of you in 94010.
