“Supermicro leadership were indicted for allegations of GPU smuggling in a story that ties-up loose ends from our investigation late last year. Now-former Supermicro staff are accused of using a "decoy" server scheme wherein warehouses and server rooms would be dressed-up to pass inspections and act as a go-between with China, lining-up with our own findings investigating the GPU smuggling supply chain in August of 2025.”

It's "tech" news, since it involves gpu and server companies...but yeah I would like to hear more news about actual (new/innovative) technology.
Right, let me clarify. Im not saying it's not news and I don't have an issue with sharing it here. Im specifically asking what "Gamers Nexus" is trying to do with its platform. Why does a YT platform that is or was about gaming hardware so concerned about ITAR enforcement?

Because maybe it's about national security? ???

Do you want them to go back to other coverage?

Talking about hardware and deep analysis in that space? Like, does the 9850x3d cache actually reduce the amount of ccd to cdd reads or doesn't change, etc?

Yeah, that's what I used to enjoy from their channel.
That is why I miss old [H]. They used to do such good indepth reviews on stuff.....and it wasn't in a 30 minute video.

Now all the dudes are soap opera channels that has some tech related stuff mixed in with drama or stupid clickbait tiles ect

Perhaps from an angle of gamers got hosed due to GPU's being sold where they should not have, contributing to shortages, resulting in higher prices for consumers?

I somehow don’t care at all about this at all and care about it too much all at once.
It’s like I have a negative amount of fucks to give so the universe is throwing them at me to bring balance to the fuck.

Like OK cool corrupt businessmen doing corrupt businessmen things, don’t care…. But in the back of my mind I’m all…. What if this helped the AI stranglehold on the market and my animal brain suddenly hates them all as traitors at an unconscious and unreasonable level.

“Supermicro denies that its offices were raided by Taiwanese authorities in Nvidia GPU smuggling case — company says that it coordinated with the police and provided access to investigated employees’ workstations and gadgets”

The reason gamer hardware channels are pivoting is because consumers aren’t buying gamer hardware anymore which means they aren’t interested in watching reviews because all the gamer hardware is too expensive because companies like SuperMicro are selling things to companies with VC capital who will pay more money than you will for the same gear that you want. That’s the short version.

It is almost certain to be irrelevant, Nvidia latest annual revenues rate was 326 billions, that scheme of 2.5 billions over 2 years (that include non Nvidia revenues), is a very little fish in the sea and almost certainly only diverted who got the datacenter GPUs in a not able to cover all the demand world, not how many were made.

For 2024-2025, Nvidia made about 350 billions, that ~2 billions was not 0.6% of their sales, in a lot of Nvidia "punditery", sensational news (we can see that about the focus on the very small coreweave type of deals for example) rely on not providing relative size of the items, only absolute number to people that not fully integrated how giant Nvidia business became.
