I've used and continue to use both of these items in my AM5 TrueNAS server .. they've served and serve me well.

I only run 4 SATA drives now so I just use the onboard SATA ports on my motherboard instead of the HBA card (formally an IBM M1015 before crossflashing).. but I still use the Sparkle A380 for hardware transcoding in Plex
