What's better the 10980XE or the W-3175X ?

Well, to be on the safe side, I always buy the top end Ti card.
Titan is a ripoff and the mid end cards are risky. Especially this generation.
I didn't upgrade to 2080Ti because my 1080Ti is plenty for everything. It runs well both my 4k/120hz screen and Valve Index at 144hz.
But you bet I'll go not for 3080 but 3080Ti.
Can't wait.

A 1080 Ti is not remotely capable of 4k 120 hz gaming unless you are playing some older games or running some pretty low settings. It's not even a decent 60fps card for most modern games at 4K. Hell Red Dead Redemption 2 needs several settings turned down just to get near 60fps at 1440p with a 1080 Ti.

Nope, it isn't.
It works great for the games I play though. Most MMORPGs hit 4k/120fps at max settings.
