Russian Cows Fitted With Virtual-Reality Headsets

“Experts noted reduced anxiety and improved overall emotional mood in the herd” during the VR experiment

The project subjected cattle to a simulated summer field with colors tuned for the animals' eyes, giving them a decidedly more pleasing landscape than a plain, confining farm. And yes, the headsets were adapted to the "structural features" of cows' heads so that they could see properly.

While it's not certain how well this affects the quality or volume of milk, there are plans for a more "comprehensive" study to answer that question.

I bet the long term effects won't be good. Especially when the batteries run out.
 
I wonder how much VR Kanojo they can take before moving on to the greener pastures beyond... would maybe save time and money on euthanasia (shhh don't tell Peta)
