I was trying to find a PSU that shuts off its fan when there is small load.
I came up empty as far as I can tell nobody lists this as a searchable feature.

I don't need a high power PSU, 400W should be plenty. So far the smallest psu I could find with this feature was the Corsair RM650, but it has a bad failure rate and quite a bit more pricey than what I'd like and unnecessarily OP.

Look at Seasonic. They also have passive PSU's with no fans at all.
I want to avoid passive, they sell at a big premium.
Maybe I'll just mod my existing PSU with an NTC.

I have a Corsair RM1000. The fan is normally off until needed. I rarely turns on. It's not a game PC anymore. When it was it didn't run much either.

Thermaltake 850 RGB gold
EVGA 850 g2
Corsair RM1000x

Those are the three I own that do it.

The premium power supplies mostly all do the fan shutoff these days

I have a Corsair RMx 850 and I don't think the fan has ever turned on to be honest. I just checked the case filter and there is nothing on it so I assume it has never spun while in this case.
