Ok so the benchmarks are pretty much what you expect. The card hangs with a 2070 super pretty much. Is it worth $599? Probably not for most objective performance enthusiasts. However this is one fantastic looking card and if I had not already blocked my 5700xt It would be worth the premium to get that sick looking custom cooler. I may still get it.

Just gert an EK block, the same exact block on that card and save $$$$$$

You'd save about $50. Maybe $70 if you go with a cheaper block like a Bykski.

IMO the price really isn't that bad. For $50 you get the customized BIOS, convenience of having the block preinstalled, some coolant dye, and you don't have to void the card's warranty.

The real issue (as he states in the video) is that water cooling a 5700XT pushes the cost up into the same range as a higher tier Nvidia card, but if your budget is $599 and you want water cooling and/or you're an AMD fan I think it's a decent option.

Yes I agree with that. The dual bios is worth extra for sure!

It's only trading blows with a 2070 Super.. For the cost and hassle of watercooling, pass. Just get a 2070 Super and save $100, or get a 2080.

I agree. I mentioned that in the OP. I think there is little reason to get this from a pure performance at a price point perspective. However, as a water cooler that does so purely for the fun and aesthetic, I think this is a compelling card. It has the best looking block I have ever seen(of course this is subjective, for reference I am upgrading from a 980ti hydrocopper which I think is a great looking beefy card.) In addition it has upgraded bios and better silicon, allegedly, than the reference cards. Now when you take into consideration that slapping a waterblock on a 2070 super will end up costing much more than 599, from a pure water cooling perspective it is a desirable card if you are upgrading right now. Adding a distro plate will generally cost 250 plus and I would rather have this block to complete my look.
