Orbital PS4 emulator can now detect DualShock4

Yes but, I do not have an optical drive in any of my computers, anymore.

There is a PS4 emulator?!
I was surprised to find out recently there was a PS2 emulator. Last time I touched emulators they were up to N64 which worked pretty terribly so I figured that was the end of the road. All modern consoles have signed code as I understand so I didn't think making emulators was even possible. Anyway, this video is not in english but I would be surprised if there is a working PS4 emulator.

Emulators are slow things to develop. When they first come out, they're just working out emulating aspects of the console hardware and aren't yet able to run any games. And when they first get game support, extremely few games run on them and they run very slowly, mostly broken, and with lots of bugs. And when they're working good, they still require far more powerful hardware than the original console used. I think that you'll generally want to be at least a solid 2 hardware generations ahead of the console that's being emulated to be able to play its emulated games smoothly, once the emulator has a lot of its bugs ironed out. And it's usually many years after an emulator first appears before it's viable for general gaming.

Here's recent video footage of Red Dead Redemption running on an Xbox 360 emulator, with a narration explaining the improvement that have come and many of the issues that are still needing to be fixed. There's still a ways to go before it's a perfect experience:

It was big news when it was first shown that RDR was running in an emulator, even though the were lots of missing visual features, buggy visuals, and the performance was terrible. Here's some of the first footage of RDR running on an emulator, one for PS3:

The PS4 emulator mentioned in the OP is only at the stage of being able to boot up. It will possibly be years before it is capable to run anything even in a buggy and low-FPS state. But, that is the slow trajectory along which emulators have emerged for a long time.

PS3 one too that I tested my copy of Persona5 on. Wasn't 100% at the time but considering what a mess the PS3 was to develop on, I was impressed. ;)

PS4 one is news to me now, but I've sort of stopped looking back as much as I used to for playing old stuff.

Been playing Super Smash Bros Brawl in 1080p with Xbox 360 controllers with the Dolphin Wii Emulator for over 4 years now. Some glitches here and there but doesn't really impact gameplay. 1080p upscaling looks good, fun for when friends come over.

I'd say once they get the APIs cracked it should perform pretty decently

The signed code is easily worked around, once there is a console hack. that lets you bypass the encryption.

There are such hacks for all major consoles.

It just takes longer than it used to to hack the platform, and start ripping the games.

Once hacked, homebrew apps/ports begin, and the eventual emulator will come along once the hardware is understood.
