I want to grab a couple "newer" games to play and Battlefield 1 and the Metro Redux's are catching my eye. I've played the beta of Battlefield 1 and enjoyed it and I've played through both Metro's but not the redux's.

1. Are people still playing Battlefield 1?
2. Did they mess up the Metro's with the redux? They royally messed up Bioshock with the "remastered" versions and I'm trying to avoid another botched "improvement".

Essentially I somewhat recently got a new gpu (1080Ti) and haven't bought any games since 2016 (Wolfenstein) and figured with the sales why not grab some good cheap games.

Thanks!

Metro, hell yes, get all of them, they are amazing games. No, the redux version are good, they actually improve things.

BF1, no opinion.

If you want to give your eyes something to feast on get Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, great game so far, not very action driven though but full of Norse Mythology if you're into that.

Yep, both of the metro games have amazing environments.. the story's a little wierd, but it's good.. the gameplay is pretty enjoyable as well.Good purchase.

They arent the stalker games but they are good sinle player games nonetheless. Well worth the sale price.

Metro is great. BF1 is friggin' hard if you are not used to MP or the style of game it is.

Metro Redux is a great game, albeit with a weird story.

BF1 is a run of the mill MP FPS. It's rather mediocre. The single player stories are worth it for a fiver if you're bored.

BF1 is el garbo, just a bunch of headless chickens running around with no team play at all.

BF1 gets a Meh from me as well. I'd rate it second worst BF game behind hardline. BFV is 50% off, i'd take that. Or better yet, if you havent played BF4, start there. Graphics haven't improved much (BFV is pretty sweet looking though)

perfect time to play the previous 2 Metro games before the new one- Metro Exodus- comes out in February

Loving the replay of Metro, BF1 single player was great for the $5. The multiplayer in BF1 is hit and miss, it's annoying as hell waiting minutes to be placed in a game with no one else playing...

Personally, neither of those games really did it for me....

There are much better games out atm that are actually worth your time & money.
