In an April Fool’s tweet earlier this year, Elon Musk joked that his company was going bankrupt and alluded to a product dubbed “Teslaquila,” a Tesla-branded tequila. Now, recent filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggest Musk intends to make the drink a reality. The trademark indicates a "distilled agave liquor" and "distilled blue agave liquor."

While there is no guarantee that a Tesla-brand tequila will hit the market, the company filed an "intent to use" trademark for Teslaquila, which means that it is currently not using it, but has a "good faith intention" to use it in the future. In addition, Tesla appears to have initially applied for this trademark in Jamaica back in April and is asserting a U.S. priority date based on that foreign application.
 
We need even more tequila brands to suck up the even more sparse supply of agave.

I'll buy some Teslaquila and make a Teslarita.

Too bad Elon didn't get into graphics tech in time for DirectX 11...we could have had Teslallation!

Not really, a lot of states consider DUI as being in the car with keys while intoxicated. It's a bogus distortion of what the law was intended to fix and can punish people for trying to do the right thing.

That's why they always say if you're going to sleep it off, do so in the backseat and put the keys somewhere else.

P.S. Remember, Tony Stark eventually gave up alcohol and now only drinks Dr. Pepper.
