Say what you will about the Kindle line.
They're nice low-end tablets for e-books, audio and some light video.

That and they can allow you a childish sense of wicked glee and a pathetic sense of inadequacy and overcompensation...

I have one, was gifted it a couple years ago.

I said the same thing: plays movies well, can read books, can give it an funny name.

It’s been collecting dust for approx. 1.5 yrs now. I should see if I can turn it into a digital picture frame or Alexa hub or something useful.
 
Late to the party, but that's an allusion to an Aerosmith song. At least that's how I'm taking it.
