Warcraft Players Are Removing Their Shoulder Armor to Protest Their Evil Warchief

If ecktt was actually a good poster and not just some level 1 orc he would have something like the great axe of angst cuts both ways.

Also, never played WoW. Still, not a hater.

It makes the horde the bad guys, think a lot of people don't like that. I'm tired of horde and alliance working together for years and the game still keeps them separate. Then in the spirit of bad sequels lets burn the tree down for no reason and piss off a lot of fans

In my WOW guild the saying is... Yes.. Sylvanas did kill hope... the hope of millions of fans that Blizzard was capable of good writing. It was such a cliche and stupid scene. It was literally.. "Watch me do this evil thing to make your heart as black as mine." To someone in the process of passing in the first place.

This is the worst pre expansion ramp up Blizzard has ever done. In my honest opinion this game could but the first big nail in WOW's coffin.

Exactly like when there's a new Star Wars and it's not very good or this is different because Star Wars is important and this isn't?

I think you are missing my point... Caring about the backstory in general is fine, but acting like the backstory "Leader's" actions matter so much that you have been "Betrayed" and have to quit or not wear armor in protest, is ridiculous. This quote from the article highlights what I mean:

"...Horde players are keen to have a leader that actually represents core values of honor that binds the faction together."

Ummm... It's a freaking game and the Blizzard-generated backstory leader being an asshole is irrelevant. That character is made up and is not, and can not, and never will be, your leader. I can understand being upset or annoyed with the story going this way, but these people are acting like it actually matters, and doing ridiculous things like canceling their accounts lover it. That is stupid and WTF??? as hell.

These people are acting like they are actual members of their respective kingdoms... Which interestingly I don't have a problem with in situations like Dark Ages of Camelot, and in reference to, for instance, your own actual players in your kingdom betraying you in some way (if the game allowed that). But to get this worked up over the developers choices with cinematics is ridiculous.

Let them threaten..we all know the ones into the game enough to care about something this pointless are hopelessly addicted.

I am fine with it, Alliance scum deserves it for all the horrible things they have done. FuckTheHorde!

You bloody bastard Orcs burn your own world down following a deranged moron, invade Azeroth through a Fel powered portal no less, and play the innocent card? And don't get me started on the fucking Troll bastards. We had their raiding asses in place, at peace with Tauren, and no undead till you fuckers showed up. You have the blood of innocence on your hands for killing the families of World Tree, my Night Elven brothers and sisters are gone, along with our home! You have woken the sleeping Lion and it shall roar! Azeroth will be soaked in the innocence and ignorance of the Horde blood! No sir, there will be no quarter. The earth will run red with blood till the Horde is extinguished! DEATH TO THE HORDE!! FOR AZEROTH! FOR THE ALLIANCE!!! :rage:

P.S. Was that good? :D

Sylvanas tries to put up a front that she's completely detached from her emotions, but she's an emotionally compromised being. Any time someone or something makes her feel something, she reacts so violently it makes me think they are portraying her as someone with PTSD. She literally can't control herself. She burns down Teldrassil because a dying Night Elf makes her remember her first death. And everyone there is so caught off guard by it, no one can think to stop Nathanos form executing her order to burn the tree.

From a story standpoint I totally get why she's doing what she's doing, even though the Alliance has done everything they can to sue for peace. While it seems like we're going full Garrosh 2.0, I'm guessing Blizzard is just wanting us to think that until the real story unfolds.

Garrosh did nothing wrong though.

That was good!

Seriously I never have thought of horde as just two sides of the same coin, they are typically more so the 'bad guys'. Not that I would say the alliance is the 'good guys' either. I do think having a level of animosity toward each other due to the story will make pvp more fun this time around!

########SPOILERS######

Now really, in Diablo 3 he ends up being a bitch as the prime evil, Don't cross this line take care of them my underpowered minions, then don't cross this line, and not that line, ok I guess I have to take care of you myself, and now I port you to a realm where I am the most powerful and I get trounced so I stomp the ground and channel my hosts inner PMS hissy fit.

Diablo 1 and 2's version of Diablo was a lot more convincing, I'll give you that, remember that was Blizzard North though under Brevik, but you really have to understand he is what he is by his nature and in those particular games humanity is just a casualty in the War between heaven and hell.

Brevik did make Diablo compelling but under Jay Wilson it all just became a joke.

Jay Wilson ruined the Diablo series with Diablo 3. No, it was not a bad game but not as good I thought it should have been.
