I was shocked to find there wasn't a thread discussing this....

Like the title states, it's a steampunk-style grid-based RPG like the games of old.

You control a single character instead of a party, which I find refreshing.

Anyways, check it out!

Fantastic. I absolutely adored Grimrock 2, then went back and played Grimrock 1. Before those I had no idea how enjoyable that grid based dungeon crawlers were.

I've been hoping for a Grimrock 3 for years but this game may fill that void for now.

Bards Tale 4 is releasing on September 18th and it too is grid based.

Looks nice! I love a good dungeon crawler. It's been a while since I played one I liked. I really like turn-based, somewhat simplistic ones, but I did like Grimrock from what little I played. (I own it, but got distracted at the time.) I may give this a whirl sometime. I also got that Mary Skelter game, which is also a crawler. It got good ratings as well.

Yeahhhhhh

If you loved Grimrock, this will scratch that itch NICELY :D

I don't mind grid-based because I grew up with it but I would really like to see more companies experiment with partially grid-based systems that allow more flexibility.

The combat is real-time (albeit with a pause/slow-time mechanic), so that's different....
