TheRabbleWrangler, one of the Twitch streamers that HardOCP has partnered with, has just been awarded the win in Crytek's Hunt Showdown Creator Competition. w00t!!1 Congrats Rabble! You have brought us more than a few great gaming moments in the last couple of months. And who the hell can turn their nose up to a guy that cut up his cowboy hat so that he can wear it at the same time with a gaming headset?

Check out the video. Great stuff.

With over 150 entries, choosing just one winning video wasn't easy, but we've watched every single one, and we are here to tell you that The Rabble Wrangler, the Best in the West is our winner! The Rabble Wrangler went all out and turned himself in a real life hunter, with a unique persona and equally unique stream completely focused on Hunt: Showdown.

I like the " He puts a "Cocked " single action back in his holster" blows own foot off starter pack.

What is a [H]ardOCP Twitch Partner?
We have partnered with a number of streamers that we have been featuring on the news page and here on the forums in evening. We give them exposure, and in return, they give us exposure on their streams.

This game is very CPU Limited right? (I think that's what I heard in an interview with the Devs). I'm actually interested in how this game runs on a 2700x vs an 8700k. Wonder if TheRabbleWrangler uses 2 comps to stream.
The did a performance patch here recently that addressed that for low end CPU. I am running at 4.3GHz and have great frames with a Titan Maxwell.

Nice! How's the trade-off per analytics?
Well, at the moment it is fairly one-sided, as we are working with smaller guys, but if we help them "make it," then we will see. :)

I need new glasses. I was struggling to understand why he called himself the Rabbi Wrangler. Sure he has some long curly hair but he's got the wrong hat for a hassidim. Then I realized it is 'R A B B L E'.

So do alot of people actually sit around at night and watch other people play video games???
(I'll interject here, I have never watched twitch or any of the stream channels)

Now, I understand going to see a professional basketball or football game, sort of the same concept.....watching other people play a sport you could just as soon play.
But watching somebody else play a game on their computer.......

God, I'm getting old.......now get off my lawn.....

Literally millions of people. We had about 700 watching Hunt Showdown last night across three streamers.

That explains it! :) Cool.

I never understood it until I got into PUBG. Then, I started watching other people play, their streams, YouTube. I was seeing how the best people (Shroud, Fugglet, etc.) played, their strategy, etc.. I learned from them and became a better player. That, and there are some funny moments.

If I really get into a game, I can see how watching others play would be good. For most games, though, I'd rather play on my own and not watch others play.
I generally run a stream here while I am working to have some background "noise" in the office. Fun too with the right streamer.

Rabble Wrangler is very entertaining, the dude is hilarious!
I've watched a couple of the other ones, there are better players, but this guy is the best entertainment I think (so far).

Thanks for turning us on to Hunt Kyle, very cool game.

Do you have kids? Mine sit around watching others make slime while they make slime. Others like to watch others open boxes and boxes of stuff.

I went from checking out the streams that Kyle was hosting on front page .. getting to know the streamers a little bit .. signing up to Twitch to chat with said streamers .. and then buying the game for myself because it looked so fun .. and .. it's a load of fun to play and watch some of these guys play.
