Pro photographer here. I need to upgrade my 24" Dell U2412M. I'm set on 32", 4k, IPS, 60hz, flat screen, 98%+ sRGB

The BenQ BL3201PH was on my list, but it seems like there's a replacement to this - PD3200U

I've done a quick comparison of the specs and can't find any difference. Has the panel been upgraded in the PD3200U?

The newer PD3200U is about $100 USD more expensive, no doubt that'll be an additional $200 in Canada

Joined the forum just to answer your question as I was curious myself, being the owner of a BL3201-PH. I came across a site that may prove useful in future comparisons, displayspecifications.com - but they don't seem to always have 100% accurate information. Anyway, they break down the two here: http://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/75989be7 Here's what I gleaned from their article:

The PD has a slightly better SRGB rating (73% to the BL's 72%) - ** BenQ's website says it's 100% SRGB on the PD

The PD's HDMI connections are HDMI 2.0 vs HDMI 1.4 on the BL

The BL has D-sub and DVI-D while the PD has only DP, DP mini and 2x HDMI 2.0

There are also some other proprietary features the PD boasts but I don't think that's relevant here. You can check that out on the PD's product page here:

Hope that helps someone and please feel free to call out any mistakes I may have made :)

PD3200U also supports HDCP 2.2, a very important component in 4k Netflix streaming or any UHD related content, BL3201PT only has HDMI 1.4 (which precludes it from even going near HDCP 2.2).

both have faulty AUO panels with dark vertical stripes visible on light backgrounds, stay away and wait for the LG 32UD99 panels. I recently returned a PD3200U coz of this issue.

Any difference with the anti-glare coating between the two of them. The lighter the better for me.
