How about a pay option to change usernames?

Recently, I just purchased a lifetime membership because, 1. I love this site, and 2. it has helped me make money by selling my stuff here. That and gen may!

Then I got to thinking, maybe have a charge associated to a one time username change? Could add a criteria that you have no infractions, established member etc etc.

I say this because, I made this account when I was 16 and at a time where I thought it was cool to have usernames after my favorite football player. Torry Holt was a NFL football player and 81 was his number.... Now I'm 28 and dread every time I log in and enter my username.

Another idea is it could be a perk to purchasing a lifetime membership? It could increase the amount of individuals who would purchase said membership and we would have more people to chime in on gen may.

Do we really want the GP in GenMay? I mean, I think they barely tolerate me there!

I've seen people get their user names changed just by asking a Mod...no need to pay for it...just ask nicely :D

Yeah mod just PM'd me.

Last year I searched the forum for username change and saw that the FAQ said no username changes unless the name was in poor taste OR that I would have to close my account and create a new one.

underneath your new user name they should put 'formerly known as TorryHolt81' so members will know who you are :D ...they should do that for any user name change for a limited period of time
 
Using the CONTACT US button below with your user name and what change you want would be the way to do that.
