Hey guys, im looking for a cheap plan for 1-2 people.

Unlimited would be nice, but I can live with 1GB data.

I really don't know what is the best way to go, there are so many carriers/MVNOs/etc nowadays with so many plans.

Don't need the actual phones, just a plan.

edit: I should mention im in the US and was on verizon, have a paid off note5/moto X (gen2?) also a S8+ and Note8.

I pay £10 on giffgaff (no contract) for 3GB data, 500 minutes (free incoming) and Unlimited text. It's also free to call anyone with the same carrier.

If you want lots of user experiences of the various MVNO's check out howardforums. A quick answer is to try Mintsim, super cheap, uses T-Mobile, and gets decent reviews.

I have been using Mintsim for the past 4 months now and I have no complaints.

I've been using Boom mobile for a little over a year. It is a Verizon MVNO, 1GB data with unlimited talk/text is $25 a month. Download speed is limited to 8Mbps unless they have changed it. I haven't looked around to see if there is anything newer/better since switching.

I tried tmobile and sprint for a month before going with Boom but the signal was very unreliable at my house.

Comcast Xfinity TV customers get up to 5 lines on Xfinity Mobile without any additional line fees that runs on Verizon's network. The plan includes unlimited talk and text and 500MB of data. Each additional GB of shared data (rounded up) will cost $12 - for example, if your whole family use 5GB of data, your entire mobile bill will be $60. (My family averages 7-8GB on T-Mobile, so my bill would be $84-$96 if I switch to Comcast.)

The only other Verizon MVNO that's similar in value that I could think of is Total Wireless's $100 4 line family plan with unlimited talk and text and 25 GB of shared data.

Yes, Comcast customers can save money. The unfortunate part is that they currently only have BYOD on iPhones.

I like Page Plus Cellular, a Verizon MVNO, but it really boils down to whoever has the best coverage in your area. T-Mobile is unusable around here (SE WI).

Total Wireless for me - Verizon MVNO - 57 a month for two lines unlimited talk and text and 15 GB of shared data. No speed caps that I can see (hit 40 Mb down the other day) and great verizon "can you hear me now" coverage. They even offer phone on thier website for monthly payment like verizon with the service included - some pretty good deals and some not so good deals. Right now you can pre-order an s9 or s9+ even. For 35 a month (less with auto billing) you get unlimited text talk and 5 gb of lte data on verizon.
