Warner Bros. did a poor job of removing Superman actor Henry Cavill’s mustache for Justice League, which he was legally obligated to keep for another film. That effort looks even more amateurish now, as someone managed to use Deep Fakes AI to produce a better result.

In order to illustrate the ease with which the algorithm works, the video uses a hilarious beard trimmer emoji and actual real footage of Cavill in interviews and removes the mustache in real-time, while the split-screen format allows you to compare the finished effect to the real picture.

Problem solved.

I mean i hope all that work wasn't for that 6 o'clock shadow mustache. I think my brother has more mustache by noon jeezuz.

I have a link to a huge trove of deepfakes that have replaced pornographic actresses' faces with celebrities, if anyone wants to see how good this shit is

I didn't notice anything hugely wrong with the movie...well except for the story...but didn't notice any horrible CGI for his face

Saw the movie after I saw this story, and that lip is very goofy looking on Supes, in fact when he's not moving his mouth at all it is quite passable, but as soon as he starts talking it just looks off.

but maybe because you were looking for it? Having went to see it a week or two after it came out as i needed to kill some time I didn't know this was a thing. Although i also might not have been paying close enough attention and was just waiting for the show to end by that point.

just realized that video was showing the part that is supposed to be bad which was at the beginning of the movie. :p

I mean sure, the whole "because I was looking for it" thing absolutely stands, watching mouths in movies isn't usually something someone does, I guess. :)

I think they should've just left the stache on, for comedy's sake. Supes just shows up with it, and the other characters try not to notice.....
