MSI Z270I and Spectre

Does anyone else have the MSI Z270I motherboard? Last month MSI released v1.9 BIOS which appeared to fix the Spectre vulnerability with a slight performance hit. This month they took down v1.9 and added v1a. The new one has better performance but does not fix the Spectre problem. Did v1.9 cause other problems I didn't happen to experience? Should I leave v1a on it even though it is vulnerable?

Asrock also pulled their bios V1.9 for the spectre thing for my mobo, there were some issues with reboots and such, fxed ones should hopefully arrive soonish until then stick to the latest one you can find on your manufacurers website to avoid issues would be my advice.

Intel is working on newer code. When it's ready they will give to oems to release new bioses.
