For all you folders on NVidia cards running Win 10 get ready for the update to bork your setup. After install you'll prob get a FAH21.exe 'missing OpenCL.dll' error (repeatedly and often) and FAH will not run. It will warn you that you might need to reinstall the app but it's NOT FAH but the generic 385.xx driver that Win 10 installs with the update (probably minimum req's for the new 3D modeling feature) that is the issue. I installed the latest driver 387.xx and all is well but my ppd are lower. Don't know if the better folding 373.xx driver will work or not on the update yet but if it does the 3D model feature might not work. Buyer beware ...

Linux, for dedicated boxen only.
Else: pain and suffer

Serious: we need to complain lots to MS that they find a way to stop messing up setups and include what is needed. Voice of customer sometime works.

lol it's microsoft we're talking about here.. customers opinion means absolutely jack squat to them otherwise windows 10 would of never existed and dx12, ryzen, and kaby lake would be working on windows 7 officially. either way the fall creator pack has messed up a lot of things, not just for DC stuff. i'd expect nvidia is going to get forced to fix the problem themselves so you'll probably see a few driver updates over the next couple weeks since they seem to be the most heavily hit by the creator update.

Toconator, I performed the Fall Creators Update on three systems, each of which are full-time Folding systems, each with two Nvidia 1080Tis. I experienced zero problems with picking Folding back up. It was seamless. The only preparatory step I took was to uninstall Nvidia drivers before starting the Win10 updates. I reinstalled the drivers of my choice following the installations. Folding performance is unchanged from before the installations.

I've Also found that uninstalling and reinstalling the F@H software can sometimes fix the issues. I have to do it every time I change card layout, and after some Windows update on my 10 boxen.

That’s should get better with 7.4.16 F@h beta client ... hardware detection improved ... give it a shot

I tried that first and it didn't fix the issue. It was definitely a driver issue. When I went to install the latest driver it didn't even detect a NVidia driver on the system after the Creators update so it was obviously the Microsoft embedded driver that was the culprit.
