Browsing the web in iPad: use browser or app?

Say I want to watch youtube video, is it better to watch through Safari or to install and use the youtube iPad app?

Same question with many websites. CNN, Fox, BBC, USA Today, CNET, etc.

iPad in use is the iPad Pro 9.7" released in 2016.
 
Why load up the iPad with multiple apps for websites that you can access through safari? Plus with safari, content blockers are available. Don't use it on [H]

We used to have an iPad 3 and it slowed down a lot on some websites. The iPad pro is much faster. Perhaps the apps are better suited for tablet browsing since I assume most websites are designed for work best on computers.
 
Only for YouTube I use the app. Else safari only. Why add complexity to look after multiple app just grabbing my privacy (potentially)
