I have an old Gateway LGA mobo: Gateway D975XBG Big Arm Motherboard 4006151R / 4006162R and I'd like to use an old GTX 770 card in it however, the slot my old AMD 7750 is in won't fit the 770, its too close to the 24pin and there are some tall capacitors there. It would fit I think in second black PCIE slot but if you look at the attached image that slot has fewer traces going to it. Would that mean the card would run slower or at all? I'd have to cut out part of the drive cage to test it so I thought I'd ask here first.
