Looking for the best router brand please?

Looking to spend $250 to $350 and have 10 to 15 devices.

You may want to look into the newer, high end wireless mesh products.

There's several out there. And they're all generally very good.

Some of the best reviews have been on Netgear's Orbi setup.

Set up the base unit.

Set up the slave unit elsewhere in the house.

You have like 6-7 Ethernet ports and wifi on 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz. And it uses a separate 5.0Ghz for all the system backhaul. So LAN/WLAN performance stays nice and high.

That is almost like asking what is the best car or computer you can buy. You are almost going to get a different answer every time. Cisco 1921 or 2901 is my vote. Or a 5506-X. Depending on your service, you might have to bump up your price range depending on what you are going to be doing with those 10-15 devices.

Pretty vague. Do you need an all in one? Can you use access points? Do you need a large coverage area? I do like unifi's aps but no there routers. Pfsense would be my choice or a routertech hex box.

Antecdotal, but I've had weekly reliability issues with my last d-link, and tp-link, where I had to reboot daily or weekly.

Netgear Nighthawk are solid as a rock (we use them at church and work) and my current ASUS ac3100 is solid as a rock. Never have to reboot them. They just work!

I use a pc-based pfSense router, and a separate wi-fi access point. Granted, the AP was given to me, but I have less than $100 in this setup, and it works beautifully. It is actually more routing power than I need.

Not really in the same leagues, and each have their place.

I was being a smart ass, I what I have been using at the vacation home and really like is Cisco Meraki's setup. If you qualify they will send you a free firewall/router and ap and switch. The stuff seems to work very good in a smaller setup does load balancing between links etc.
