**DEAD** Dell 27" Gaming Monitor - S2716DG G-Sync/2560 x 1440/144Hz/TN- $425 AR

I've a few buddies who use this and the colors on it are amazing for a TN panel. Definitely one of the best 1440p gaming panel options for the price.

That is the reason I love my Samsung 4k monitor although it is TN as well. However, I am considering a 32 Inch HP 2560 x 1440 monitor since it is a Freesync monitor. Just like this deal, it is good too see prices come down and higher resolution monitor selection to go up. :)

Really? There's already enough garbage Slickdeals-self promotions on SD forums. We don't need that garbage here.

The SlickDeals rebates have had a LOT of heated discussions and people still get frequently denied even when they'd followed all the instructions (or at least they say they did).

There's so much hatred for the Slickdeals rebates over on the SD forums, so [H] buyer beware.

In my opinion, this thread should be deleted.

I love mine, was a huge step up from my old ASUS VH236H in pretty much every way (which honestly doesn't say much considering it's age). I personally think the colors look great, but *disclaimer* I've never used IPS. It's a good price for a nice 1440 monitor with gsync. To anyone worried about pixel walking (it was my main worry before purchasing this monitor, if you've done any research), I have only seen it a couple times on certain webpages when scrolling, but you have to TRY to find it, it doesn't stick out like a soar thumb. I've never once noticed it in game. With how big of a deal some people seem to make it, I think they're either MUCH more sensitive to it than myself, or had a defective panel.

If you have issues with rebates, it does tend to go on sale pretty much quarterly for around 450.

Is that not that cause with the majority of rebates regardless of who is providing them. Tons of people complain about rebates that they don't get when claiming to have completed all the steps. Most [H] buyers know that comes with the territory of rebates. If the admins want to delete the thread that is perfectly fine but it seems silly to me to deny the [H] community the information of a decent deal cause you are butthurt over Slickdeals existing.

"Butthurt about SD existing"?

Nice 7th grade vocabulary, brah. I'm still trying to figure out your first sentence. Did you mean to say "Is that not the case with the majority of rebates..." ?
The word "Is" at the start of a sentence infers it is a question. Your jambalaya of words isn't really a question, nor is it a sentence.

I like finding good deals on SD. I never said I didn't like SD. I said [H] buyer beware of Slickdeals' sponsored rebates.
Let's try this again so maybe you can understand:

[H] members SHOULD BE AWARE that many of the Slickdeals -sponsored rebates are rejected when claims are valid.

I like Slickdeals' forums. I visit SD nearly every day, however their frontpage is 75% full of sponsored shit these days and their SD-sponsored rebates are highly suspect.

Great monitor out of the box, but AMAZING when calibrated. Even with just a cheap Spyder Express.

Like mine too. Perfect if you're into fps gaming. If rpg/rts is more your thing consider an ips monitor.

Agree to disagree here. Once calibrated (using a custom ICC profile or a calibration tool, not just monitor controls) it's hard to tell the difference from most IPS monitors. I've been using IPS/VA almost exclusively, yet this Dell performs nearly as well with colors. Unless you put them side by side and nitpick, you probably wouldn't tell the difference. I do my photo edits on it, and they check out on IPS panels just fine.

Watch out folks the grammar police is on the beat...

Informing people of possible issues with a rebate is kosher though like I said most people on here take rebates with a grain of a salt. Stating a post should be deleted cause you have some sort of issue with mentioning SD on here is stupid.

^ The rebate makes up a decent chunk of the deal in this case, though. He's saying that Slickdeals rebates appear to systematically fail. If there was no rebate, this isn't much of a deal. Hence this topic wouldn't even be on here. Macker, do you have proof that Slickdeals rebates fail pretty regularly?

The rebate expired and the discounted price is no longer available so its a moot point now.

Not posting on the deal, but I do have this monitor and it is fantastic. Got it on sale for 469$ I believe, and very happy with that.
