Edit: Alternatively I will pay to ship the case to you if you want to send me something that I can use. Not really looking for anything in particular but I'm usually looking for SSDs, gaming mice, keyboards, etc.

OK guys,

Spring cleaning. I've downsized to a mATX case and don't plan on using these behemoths again any time soon. And they're taking up valuable (or not so valuable) space.

So I'm offering them up for the cost of shipping (or pickup from local members), although I live in the sticks (SW VA, about an hour west of Virginia Tech and 2.5 hrs north of Charlotte).

I'm offering up to [H] first. If no interest here I will try AnandTech and then, if need be, descend into the unknown hell known as /r/hardwareswap. But I think I need more comments or something in order to trade there.

Let's get on with it:

Cooler Master HAF 932 full tower gaming case, heavy on weight but also on airflow!
- Includes stock front/rear/side fans, motherboard standoffs, wheel casters, and all 4 thumbscrews for the side panels
- Missing two front 5.25" bay covers and approx 4 rear slot mesh covers
- Best if you furnish your own PSU screws (5.25", 3.5" drive bays and rear expansion slots are screw-less), but I can include some if needed.

Rocketfish (Lian-Li) full tower aluminum case, lightweight beast that would make an awesome server (or modified watercooled gaming) case.
- Includes stock front & rear fans, motherboard standoofs, and all 4 thumbscrews for the side panels
- Front door swings out and has a lock on it, but I don't think I have the key. I will try to find it. When I used the case I removed the door to make it easier to access the front-facing drives and power/reset buttons.
- Missing one front 5.25" bay cover and 2 rear slot covers
- Best if you furnish your own rear slot and PSU screws, but I can include some if needed.

Now, since these are free, I can make some guarantees!
  • I can guarantee that I am looking to give these away for free, or the price of shipping
  • I can guarantee that I rarely if ever throw anything away, like accessories
  • I can also guarantee that I don't give much of a hoot about turning my house upside down trying to find the missing bay and slot covers
  • I can guarantee that if I find any of the missing covers before shipping, I will include them.
  • I can guarantee that small animals such as ferrets and iguanas have not used the spacious interiors for lovemaking purposes.
  • I can guarantee that each case is in great shape and has been placed back into its original factory box.
  • I can guarantee that if the cases are damaged in shipping and you give me grief about it, you will most likely end up on my DNT list. If you want to pay extra for insurance I will be happy to add it, but I'll have to check how UPS handles that these days. Some time back, my local UPS Store changed their policy so that you had to pay to have them pack & ship the item in order to qualify for insurance coverage. I've been there a few times lately and they have not mentioned that policy still being in effect.
All I ask is that if you're not picking these up in person, you cover the shipping costs and leave me Heat. That's it. Oh and I will not ship drugs inside of the cases.

Have gotten several PMs about the cases. Unless you're within a border state or two away, shipping looks to be pretty substantial.

Estimates provided so far, from VA (per case):

NoVA $32
Chicago $48
Maine $64
Wyoming $75

It's possible that if you are a heavy shipper and/or get a discount via a business account, you could provide me with a shipping label for a reasonable cost.

whoa, nice lian-li/rocketfish case

tempting but shipping would probably be killer :(

I can't believe it...I actually found a local [H] member who is interested in the cases!

Anyone else want shipping estimates in the meantime?

I had that Rocketfish case some years ago. Still have pics too! Man that was an awesome case to build in. Someone is gonna be a lucky SOB to have it!
