Ryzen Shipping Thread

Would be cool to get everything delivered on the 2nd instead of the 3rd. Oh well. At least I got a helluva deal on Amazon.

Called Amazon about my order... "This is going to be released tomorrow and will ship as soon as possible."

A little jealous, almost feels like I should have done Newegg... We will see how the day progresses though.
Have heart, with Amazon where I live (DFW Texas) I've gotten the notification the item was shipped after I have it in my hands.

I pre-ordered all my stuff at Newegg.

I've had that happen before as well but I've never had them not charge and the item getting to my door before they do. I just hope they one day or something and get it out before the afternoon *bites nails*

Not one of you that quoted my post, replied with anything valid. Most especially the guy that called me a liar.
So not only are you a judgemental prick but you require responses that you deem satisfactory. It's easy, there are comparison numbers, even on the low end of Sandy Bridge IPC, it's still a highly competitive chip at half or a third the price of a comparable chip core wise. I myself am waiting for a little bit more board and cooler maturation. But if not for that I would have pre ordered as well. 3930k, 6c12t, I would have had to spend $1500-2k for just a gut and core upgrade. This gets me a chip that shows competitiveness in apps that BD struggled in with 8c16T for a third of the price giving me the budget for a full system upgrade instead. Bonus being it's not Intel who has demonstrated very terrible and illegal practices in an attempt to not have to compete in development against AMD in the past and did exactly what everyone thought they would do once they had a significant lead in performance.

Most have stated that they would get an AMD CPU when AMD stepped up. They have and these minor differences between different Intel cores over the years makes the choice easier. SB or IB or HW or BW like performance means so little. If it falls in between any of those while having more cores and more threads and priced competitively it's a win.

Well I could give jack shit what you wrote. And by calling everybody morons who preordered, so you are also calling Kyle a moron? Because he suggested preordering? Hey Kyle BAN THIS MOFO!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all fine and dandy, I wasn't talking to you. I know the whole quote window with whom I was addressing is difficult to read.
Also, I would love to see a quote to where Kyle stated to pre-order. Or, are you referring to the sarcastic "pussy" thing?

Just got a "we are preparing to ship" email from Newegg on my 1800X. Nothing from Amazon yet. My preorder from the Austin Fry's was cancelled this morning.

Newegg just screwed me on my motherboard anyone who ordered a " ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming AM4 AMD X370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Motherboards - AMD" from newegg with a 3/2 promise date has to wait until 3/7 now. I have a 500 dollar cpu with no motherboard now. pissing me off.

Did newegg screw you, or did Asrock end up having a problem, and they don't want boards shipping until they have a stable BIOS?

Begging my liege's pardon, if a lowly peasant like myself could make a request, being the highly regarded man of such notable acts as gracing us with your wise words on the front page, a happy man of me you would make if you'd be so kind as to inform me of what hath been said by I which madeth my response unworthy of sire deeming it a valid retort?
*bows respectfully*

In other news, as to not completely derail the thread... Like the other Amazon order holders, there has been no update to my order either. I even CTRL+F5'd the page just to be sure :p
As long as it gets here before the weekend, I'll be content. Which given that I was charged tax, means they have a warehouse in Tennessee, so with any luck that's where they'll depart from...

I'm still wondering if I shouldn't change the shipping though? I mean, given it was already $700+80tax, I opted for the "Free 5-8day". My choices being:

5-8 business days FREE FREE Shipping (yea, it says 'Free' twice *shrug* lol)
4-5 business days $10.80 Standard Shipping
2 business days $15.28 Two-Day Shipping
1 business day $26.61 One-Day Shipping

To all the other Amazon orderers, what did you pick for your shipping? To those who order a lot from Amazon and don't have Prime, but also don't live in a big city (friend of mine lives in NJ and she gets a lot of stuff same or the next day), what would you generally say the shipping times for stuff like this ends up being?

I have Prime but changed it to next day shipping. Hoping to get my stuff Friday afternoon and I took the day off. $18 for next day air seemed good to me for a motherboard and CPU.

1800X + Crosshair

Lol. +1. Kill 'em with beer, kindness, and laughter

I honestly don't know and i don't care, they said something about an issue with shipping them. So im going to blame newegg. I only picked the ASRock board because of the dual m.2 slots. Now im thinking i should of got the hero and said screw the dual m.2. I preordered a hero at amazon. I really hope amazon picks up the slack and sends me the hero so i can have it on friday!

Just got off chat with Amazon and earliest they could give me as far as estimate was Saturday which means they won't ship mine until at earliest tomorrow...

Be right back while I go chat with the egg and see what they say about shipping if I order let say in five minutes...

Here is my bet.

If you join the egg membership you will automatically have priority placed on all of your orders. So any orders that do not have priority you would ship before. No it will not effect pre existing orders.

So yes it will ship sooner.. IF YOU PAY FOR IT. ;)

They basically said maybe and girdt come first serve on the chips with nothing definitive but more of their boards are showing 2/7 now and specially my board of choice so I really dropped the ball not just double preordering instead of trusting Amazon.

Darn you Amazon Prime! Stupid Newegg Premier! Stupid shoprunner not applying to certain items!

I guess the Wilsonville Frys isn't too far. .... errrr I mean I'm gonna be hungry tomorrow morning maybe I should drive a bit to the Wendy's that's by that frys place. .. idk what they sell there probably all kinds of potatoe frys...criss cut or maybe tator tots sound good...maybe I'll go in....I'll bring some Chipotle to the GF there's one right by there then she won't mind me going out there....

Or the sensible adult thing and just wait a couple of days. I still want more VRM info on some of the boards.

Junkboy Just take a breath it will be ok. Even if you don't get the board until the middle of the month.. you will still have time to play with it and read everyone elses reviews.

And that is exactly what I am telling myself.

I wish they screwed me on the cpu instead of the board. The board is returnable the cpu is not and my cpu (1800X) is twice the cost of the board. So newegg double screws you!

Nothing changed yet on Amazon. Hoping next day air means it ships tomorrow and received on Friday.

Grats on your chips gents at least knowing it shipped should be a good sign though.

Chat told me one day wouldn't affect my shipping . ; ; They told a few people it would and some it wouldn't so I think place in line must have some affect. Good luck though!

Wise words. I, too, shall bite my knuckle and just wait. I don't need to upgrade right this very minute, so it's just better I be patient. As they say... good things come to those who wait. :)

Newegg screwed me and didnt ship my cpu so i canceled everything there and just ordered it from amazon. I'm still debating about going to canada tomorrow if they have some left over. I live in the niagara region so the closest canada computers is only 30 minutes away from me. I wish i had a microcenter near me but i dont closest one is northeast ohio which is 204 miles away. I know this probably sounds petty but im probably going to personally boycott newegg for a little bit just because im pissed off they screwed me on this preorder. I'm not some overnight fanboy ive been waiting for this for a few years now. This is beyond upsetting.

I don't have any vendor loyalty. I go where the dollar leads. But in this case I think you might be angry at the messenger rather than the root cause. I could be wrong here but perhaps direct your outrage at the mobo vendor.

Yeah at this point im just so blah. if someone can confirm another retailer withheld ASRock boards i'd be happy to excuse newegg on the board but they still dropped the ball on my cpu when i ordered immediately on release day at the time it was suppose to be released. So either way newegg is chopped liver for a little bit for me.

@tdale When did you preorder your stuff? Was it early in the day on the 22nd, or was it later? By the time I had ordered all my stuff, it was... I think... 4pm-ish EST, and the majority of the stuff was sold out on NewEgg, so I ended up ordering everything but my RAM from Amazon (NewEgg was quite a lot cheaper on the RAM). If you ordered it later in the day, or even the next day, they may simply have been still catching up on what stuff was going to be in stock and what was over-sold; thus, reason for adjustments made to the 'release' dates on some boards, as they simply did that to indicate they wouldn't have any on hand that weren't already spoken for and that's when the latest shipment would arrive. Same things goes for the CPU, as you may have simply been too far down the list and they ran out of on-hand stock.

Nevertheless, I do feel for you and had I been gunning for the 1800X, I'd have that exact concern over having ordered things myself later in the day. I still wonder about the MSI Titanium and if they'll have enough at Amazon, given NewEgg was sold out on it, and I think Amazon had been sold out on the Hero already.

If Amazon hasn't updated my order by the time I leave work tomorrow I'll be hard pressed not to swing by Microcenter

1700x shipped today, scheduled to be delivered by FedEx Saturday. Newegg

Mother board 3/9, still pre-ordered - Newegg - ASUS Rog

Mine hasn't shipped yet but newegg now shows a release date of 3/1/2017, here's the deal I ordred my mobo and CPU at the same time so it MAY not ship until the mobo does I guess. *shrugs*

Mine has not yet shipped, but Amazon changed the status on my 1700x from "Pre-ordered" to "Not yet shipped". The motherboard is still "Pre-Ordered".

Mwave just confirmed to me that in Aus they aren't releasing until tomorrow, seems the embargo lifts at 5.00pm our time (AEST) today. They also said they are unsure when motherboards are coming and that only the Tomahawk is definitely going to be out on same day. So no Ryzen for me until next week DX

On the bright side I get to see the reviews of the boards and have time to make changes to my order if I need to (Mwave is quite happy to do that). My new P14R's won't be in stock till tomorrow anyway.

CPU shipped, Crosshair Hero will ship 3/9. RAM... I'm not paying these prices for DDR4 at the moment. Will sit it out for a bit.

My Amazon preorder for the Asus Hero board hasn't budged and doesn't even have a date for shipping. I canceled my other MB preorders, so will try at Microcenter.

Ordered the MB 2/22 @ 1:23PM central time.

I preordered the second the items went up on Newegg and Newegg had them up before 1pm est. I think I placed my order at around 12:30pm. I was definitely in the first wave. Newegg is a POS to me right now. No budge on Amazon for me either. I might go to Canada tomorrow if Canada computers has anything left since they are only 30 minutes away. I'm not driving no 400 miles round trip to microcenter in Ohio from buffalo :(
