Dude's Wife Built Him A Working Gjallarhorn For Christmas

I try not to worry about it. I had no idea either. At least it was an excuse to watch 30 seconds of Destiny footage on Youtube. Have never seen the game played before.

Dude looks like he's wearing a pedobear onesie and he's playing with a fake gun from a game. I am definitely not at his level of nerd. Very thoughtful of his misses though, kudos.

When I was this kids age I never played with toy guns or wore chewbacca onesie's. Cool wife though, give her props.

I got a bottle of Single Malt and some T-Shirts from my other half. Far more useful.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that somehow that guy is married. My 5 year old wears full body PJ's, my 10 year old has already grown up.

He might spend more time with his wife and less time complaining about other dudes on the internet maybe?

Grumpy old men aside, the build is pretty nice and thoughtful tbh. Not something I would have room for but I can respect when effort and thought is put into a gift instead of click "buy now".

I've been married for 18 years, I've earned my internet complaining time.

That is pretty awesome, well lame actually but she took the time to hand make a gift and that means a lot.

Agreed. I was also born in a time when you were expected to become an adult at some point in your life instead of playing with nerf toys in your onesie pajamas well into your 20s.

Very thoughtful of her, and I'm sure they're very pleasant, wonderful people, but I don't get this new generation, where it's a good thing to be perpetually 12 years old. Kids used to want to grow up.

never played nor care to play Destiny so I too was lost for a minute on this.

I got power tools from my wife this Christmas - much more useful than a modded nerf gun. Now that's a keeper.
