Noticed this over on SlickDeals a short time ago when I went looking for some discounts on Google Play gift cards, etc. Never did find what I was looking for but figured I'd pass on the info (and if anyone is in a giving mood, is a Project Fi user, and wouldn't mind dropping the $10 credit to me so I can make use of it I won't say no obviously - and no I don't mean a bunch of people, I ain't that greedy, but I could use one of 'em for an app that literally is $9.99).
Anyway, here's the deal:
1) Go to this link and sign in: https://fiholiday.withgoogle.com/
It must be noted that you must either use the actual device you're using with Project Fi or you can use the desktop version of Chrome on a PC/laptop/tablet/etc according to the info provided.
2) There should be a graphic of a Christmas tree that comes up at some point, some people said they had to click "explorer" or whatever that happens to be - as someone that doesn't have Project Fi I can log in (as I do have a Gmail account) but I don't see the same things being displayed.
3) I assume they provide you with a redemption code of some kind to make use of the $10 credit, other people have reported that it's not tied to your account as a Project Fi subscriber but can be used by anyone with a Google Play Store account (or so they say).
Anyway, if it helps those using Project Fi fantastic, Google apparently is tossing out freebies for Project Fi subscribers this year so it can't hurt to check in on things regularly at that site.
Happy holidays...
