I'm running AIDA64 for a stability test with a 4670K on an ASRock Z87 Extreme4 with adaptive voltage set at 1.240 volts. Volts at idle are around .7-.8v and at load 1.239-1.345 according to CPU-Z! Is this misreporting or are my volts really spiking that high!? I'd like to keep my volts between 1.25 and 1.3. What can I do?

You can always set the voltage manually if you think it's going too high

Yeaa I know, but I like adaptive voltage. It limits the power draw when not needed.

Also, it seems the draw only goes that high when running synthetic benchs (AIDA64). If I do anything else it limits itself to the voltage set under the adaptive category in UEFI.
