Self-Assembling Phones Are A Thing Now

Bleh, this more along the lines of is it artistically possible, not real world practical.

This seems more relevant for a happy meal toy and not a phone. I don't like the idea of my phone being tumbled. I have no illusions that they are handled gently at every point before I get one, but I don't need this designed into the processs.

For the love of all things holy and the lust of all things dirty please stop the cutesy hand clap pre-school music with tech related stuff! It doesn't make me happy or content but angry and irritated! Apple makes a successful line of commercials probably a decade ago and people can't stop doing this crap! It's worse than a cliche and has zero originality.

This is like the theory where an infinite number of chimps with infinite number of typewriters will write every literary piece ever created and ever will be created.

Only replace chimps and typewriters with spindryers and phone components.

As long as they're allowed to evolve a bit first. :D
Wired News: Monkeys Don't Write Shakespeare

"They pressed a lot of S's," researcher Mike Phillips said Friday. "Obviously, English isn't their first language."

A group of faculty and students in the university's media program left a computer in the monkey enclosure at Paignton Zoo in southwest England, home to six Sulawesi crested macaques. Then, they waited.

At first, said Phillips, "the lead male got a stone and started bashing the hell out of it.

"Another thing they were interested in was in defecating and urinating all over the keyboard," added Phillips, who runs the university's Institute of Digital Arts and Technologies.

Eventually, monkeys Elmo, Gum, Heather, Holly, Mistletoe and Rowan produced five pages of text, composed primarily of the letter S. Later, the letters A, J, L and M crept in.

I would type up a long rant about how useless this is, but I don't even know where to begin. Well how about the phone wasn't even in 1 piece when he grabbed it out of the dryer in the video? WTF. At least the battery is easy to change -- assuming it still works after being bashed around and poked with other phone parts.
