Xbox Chief Apologizes For Sexy Dancers At GDC Party

Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft's Xbox unit, is apologizing today for having sexy dancers in school-girl outfits at its GDC party. Apparently a female developer by the name of Kamina Vincent lodged a formal complaint with Microsoft which resulted in the apology you see below: ‎

It has come to my attention that at Xbox-hosted events at GDC this past week, we represented Xbox and Microsoft in a way that was absolutely not consistent or aligned to our values. That was unequivocally wrong and will not be tolerated. This matter is being handled internally, but let me be very clear – how we represent ourselves as individuals, who we hire and partner with and how we engage with others is a direct reflection of our brand and what we stand for. When we do the opposite, and create an environment that alienates or offends any group, we justly deserve the criticism.
 
Sexy women need to work too.

At one of the CPLs they had strippers. It was awkward seeing 17 year old gamers getting lap dances.
 
The apology is so out of order. Sexually objectifying women - and with a child theme - is awesome.

If there were no dancers another outraged feminist would have filed a complaint that not enough women were working the show.
 
At the next big event, fly her out and give her a free hotel. get the same girls and add lubed up body building men on stage together. problem solved.

Gamer chicks are automatically hotter, and I like chicks with rebellious styles, so my attraction to her is beyond her looks, but in this pic, she really is fairly attractive if you can get past the buzz cut:

Maybe if your a 17 year old male.. but I'm into women not girls. And granted that is a better picture than the first I still wouldn't look at her if I walked past her in the mall.

i've had enough women that there is no such thing as automatically hot.

I said automatically hotter, not automatically hot. Though when I was 17, I couldn't see past what a woman had to offer physically, so realistically I would've held the same opinion then as yours now.

What you all are ignoring is that this party was held just a few hours after Microsoft held a Women In Gaming luncheon, also at GDC.

so one uptight person is a group? wtf is the world coming to that one person gets offended by something and causes shit like this. if they were offended they should have removed themselves from the situation. 99.99% of attendees were cool with it, fuck off....

They should have just made it a massive party. Add some trannies, male strippers, and a shit ton more alcohol, and no one could possibly complain about the sexy women dancing on stage. All the complaints would have been deflected towards the bartender's inability to serve drinks faster.
