I am looking at down sizing my current full-ATX system down to a mini-ITX. Here is what I am looking at for components. I am leaning towards the 6600K due to USB 3.0, M.2 SATA Port, PCI Express 3.0

Common components:
Case: SilverStone ML08 Mini-ITX
PSU: Corsair SFX 450 Watt
Video card: Reference designed AMD 290 4GB
Cooler: Silverstone Argon Series AR06
External USB 3.0 640 WD Blue for extra storage

Convert existing 2500K to ITX
CPU: 2500K with a 4.0GHZ O/C
Mobo: Asus P8H61(only one I can find new and a decent price)
16GB DDR3(already have this)
SSD's Samsung 830Pro 128GB as OS(already own) and a Mushkin Enhanced ECO2 512GB for Steam/Game drive(mobo only has SATAII)

New 6600K Build
CPU: 6600K from Microcenter
Mobo: ASRock Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac(20$ off with combo) from MC
16GB DDR4
SSDs: M2 Samsung SM951 128GB for OS and a Mushkin Enhanced ECO2 512GB for Steam/Game drive

Its going to to cost about 200-300$ more to convert to the 6600K build. I am just not sure its worth it.

You shouldn't count the m.2 SSD in your cost because technically you can just re-use your old SSD.

You won't be overclocking on that Asus P8H61-I motherboard.

What do you think you'll get from the "gaming" version of the ASRock board that the regular one won't give you for $40 less?

After looking online, the Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI is better and cheaper. Yes I can just re-use my old 830Pro but if I am going to upgrade to a new 6600K, I might as well get a nice shinny new M2 ssd
