Hi,
1. I downloaded a free trial version 3.7 of WinRAR.
2. When i tried to open the compressed files, i could not open it, and got the message" WinRAR: Diagnostic messages" window open, and there are 3 options: Close, Break Operation and Copy to Clipboard.
3. Is it a problem with WinRAR? or the files itself?
4. Maybe, i do not have a working WinRAR?
5. Any help?
6. Thanks

7-Zip is good but I don't understand why they still haven't added a delete-after-extraction feature.

Sounds like a premium feature. Better purchase the software, besides - I heard purchasing Winrar transforms you into a superhero, hence why so few exist.

Either that, or uninstall/reinstall or check other compressed files to ensure the ones tested weren't corrupt.

Usually with WinRAR if you see any diagnostic message of any kind popup during a decompress routine it means the archive you're trying to extract the contents of is damaged in some way. The popup should have at least the name and path of the compressed file (the archive) in a few lines of dialogue inside the popup that presented you with those three options.

Been using WinRAR basically since day one when it first appeared and that is pretty much the only time I ever see any popup of any kind - a corrupt archive it can't process fully.

And yes, definitely use the latest version which is 5.31 as of this post. Version 5 introduced a new form of RAR compression known as RAR5 and older versions of WinRAR prior to version 5 cannot decompress such archives - they still end with .rar as the extension so you won't know if it's using the RAR5 compression format unless you use (go figure) WinRAR version 5 or later.

Try opening another archive. Tiberian is right it may be the zip or rar file is corrupted. Download another copy of the same zip/rar and try again. And also get on the latest version.
