need membory help with Asus Z170-A

I'm looking to build a new PC using the Asus Z170-A mobo, and I'd like to use 2X8GB memory in it so that I could double the memory later if need be using the remaining two slots (without buying an entire set of 4X8GB memory).

However, in the qualified vendor list that starts on page 1-10 of the manual (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/Z170-A/E10611_Z170-A_UM_V2_WEB.pdf) it looks like pretty much all of the officially approved 16GB memory is 4X4GB.

Do any of you have any suggestions or experience with some good 2X8GB memory that works well with that board?

Had no problems thus far, Asus maximus hero mobo.

don't even worry about the QVL. I bought "QVL" memory that didn't work. After the second QVL kit that didn't work I bought G skill not on the QVL and it worked perfectly

Thanks for the responses! I've seen good things about G skill memory and was leaning toward that, but since none of their QVL chips matched what I wanted I didn't know if I needed to change up my build or not.

QVL is BS ignore it.
