As I personally remember when ZombiU was released, I didn't hear much about it. I didn't have the WiiU.

But now that they repolished it to fit the other platforms, and that it's only $20, I decided to have at it.

Playing it on PS4, and I must say, it's not all that bad.

I like the fact that
a.it's not necessarily a zombie shooter, but zombie survival game.
b. when you die, you lose everything you were carrying, your corpse turns to a zombie and you become a new character and must kill your old corpse to retrieve the old items, or start fresh, again. (Mimics Dark Souls)

The graphics are average at best.
But the unique gameplay is what keeps me playing.

Anyone else pick this up?

Not bad for $20, I recommend picking it up if you haven't played it yet.

I had played the demo for Wii U. It was very cool, and also it was pretty hard. I have too much of a backlog to consider this right now.

Chromatic Abberation, the game.

I have it on WiiU, but will never play it again, because it literally makes my eyes hurt. Looks like they didn't change a thing for this port. The PC options available are Vsync and Resolution. Thats it. This isn't a polished port at all, more like typical Ubisoft port...

Ah I think you're a bit dramatic on this one.

Graphic comparison there is a slight difference in textures and lighting.
They've added the minimap on screen at all times(Which I've heard is quite annoying on the old version) and the controls are actually pretty fluid.

Zombi review on PC Gamer gave it a score of 55. Score heavily dinged for game killing bugs. They say that the game play is spot on. The game is really fun. Too bad you can't play it for crashing. Sounds like a typical UBISOFT game then.

Nah, looks like I'm quite accurate.
I will echo one thing from that youtube review and thats if you are sick of early access zombie survival junk, thats all the rage these days, this is a good alternative that feels like old school resident evil with a bit of dark souls. Worth maybe 10 bux, if you can look past the typical ubisoft port and uplay.

Reviews can kiss my ass.

I'm tired of letting others persuade my decision on games.

For $20 and for someone who hasn't played this game, it's(Zombi) worth checking out.

You can bitch and moan about UBISOFT games all you want. But in my thread, I will defend what decent games of theirs that I enjoy.

For anyone who enjoys zombies/video games at all, just like any Star Wars fan with any Star Wars games, it's worthy of checking out.

Shame on who?(critics?) for recommending someone to buy a $60 game and possibly be dissapointed with it, verse a 25-30 hr game that costs $20?
I rest my case.

TBH, Leviathon, your interest and view on video games are far different than mine.

UBISOFT made a few stinkers, get over it.

Read the shitty reviews and decided to pick up three PS4 Telltale games that were 75% off this weekend instead. I'll buy this one on a PS4 Flash Sale.

Trash game, only reason it received any attention at all was because it was a over hyped wiiu exclusive at the time.

It literally wants you to use the cricket bat all the time yet they only included a single attack for it. Mind numbingly repetitive and boring is a good way to describe the gameplay.

PS4? never heard it on PS4. When will it be available. So far the most impressed zombie games on XB1/PS4 is Dying Light.

The youtube review I posted said it is worth a buy.

PC Gamer said it is a great game except for the fact that it crashed all the time which made it unplayable due to data loss. So they could only give it a 55/100 rating. The way the review is written they wanted the developer to know that they loved the game and it's concept. Just that they can't give it a favorable rating because it is broken.

"There are also character-killing glitches. I once became trapped inside a tiny armory that required a keycard to open, which I didn't have, which makes me wonder how I even got inside in the first place. I looted the armory, but with no escape I decided to kill myself with a landmine and start as a new character, hoping I could locate the key and collect my gear. I couldn't, because as I found out several lives later, the key is only available during an official mission to enter that armory, and once inside I found the crates were empty since I'd looted (and lost) everything already. Another time, unplugging my analog headphones resulted in an instant crash to desktop, and upon reloading I found my character gone. And, there was the time my survivor fell through some stairs, through the map, and into the void, losing his life and all that gear."

Seems like a great game trapped in UBISOFT development hell. The UBISOFT way is to release a broken game and patch it later if it makes enough money. Assassin's Creed Unity?

Playing it on PC right now. No graphic options aside resolution. It is a very bad port indeed, it runs like ass on my PC but games that look 3x nicer run smooth as hell. Very poorly optimized. Seems interesting though, I'll give it a little more play. I'm only 30 minutes in.

Yeah, like this one. (that was a joke, mmk?)
I don't know why you are mad since all I posted were facts about the port and I even said its worth $10.
Chill out.
