Black screen hang before booting into Win10

I never had this issue before but after the upgrade, the boot up hangs just before the login screen. It's a black screen and I have to wait like 20 or 30 seconds before the login screen comes up.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? Thanks.

Some point to ULPS as the culprit, unfortunately disabling it on a laptop is not an option

I received some updates and now it's booting fine. I would say just update and it should take that slow bootup away.

I get that too it flashes black for a second before it boots

I researched it and apparently it's a directx file trying to be started at boot. It loads successfully the first time and then fails to start more times after that. go into msconfig and enable boot logging, restart pc, go back in and disable boot logging. go into windows directory and find ntbtlog.txt, you will see the causes of the boot pauses. It's a win 10 thing, hopefully it gets resolved.

It is still doing this, did anyone find a fix?
