hitchBOT Found Dead In Philadelphia

I would like to thank the fine citizens of Philadelphia for doing the right thing. (I think this is known locally as a "Kensington Mouthwash.")

The only mistake made was not tossing the remains into the Delaware River. Or, ditching them in Camden.

It got sodimised in Occupied territory... what a shocker... NE USA is full of anything but "Brotherly love" :-(

I was in Philadelphia -- a very angry town, Philadelphia. I've never seen a town like this. It's supposed to be the City of Brotherly Love -- like when my brother was 12 and I was nine, and he would lean on my shoulder and dangle spit in my face.

Philadelphia, the so-called city of "brotherly love". Yeah, it got loved by some "brothas" alright. This is how it starts. Droids will start protesting with signs reading "robot lives matter!", next thing you know we'll have terminators running the streets.

That might make Philadelphia safer than it is now :)

likely drug addicts looking for any thing they could sell from it ...

I bet "the gang" had something to do with this...

definitely looks like the work of Dennis, Mac, Charlie, Dee, & Frank ;)

Philly.

For when New York feels too safe.

Coincidentally, also the home of Comcast HQ.

Ah Philly... The city of brotherly "fuck yous." Who knew he would be torn apart by Eagles fans looking for Cheese Wiz.

was my first thought

I've always been told it's not safe to hitchhike.....

As a Canadian, I'd remind people that HitchBot got all the way across Canada, coast to coast, and through Germany and other parts of Europe without a single incident.

Two weeks in the good ol' US of A, and some asshat tears it apart.

Which is very sad. Guess it was luck it would find an asshole at some point in time.

"someone" took it down, 320 million people blamed, what logic

Maybe plan a decent route for your stupid robot next time or keep it in canada

It made it through 3 other countries without trouble. It can't help what route it takes as it just knows it started in NY and was trying to get to California. The people driving it places determine the route.

The goal of the hitchhiking trip was to see how humans would interact with hitchBOT. And apparently the answer was "not well." HitchBOT has been around the world, including trips across the entirety of Canada and Germany without major incident. But America is clearly a hard land for our robot brothers and sisters.

To be fair though, the story deals with a Philadelphian. They kill each other at an alarming rate, and anyone/anything different is lucky to get through Philly unscathed (or undismembered).

Long live racism! Sieg Heil!

Modern Philadelphia is the end-product of this line of thought. Let's give a pass to violent criminals because of the color of their skin and call any condemnation of the growing chaos "racism". It's always the most liberal cities, isn't it. The swamps become unlivable, its occupants act like victims, and the real perpetrators who orchestrated this situation live far away in gated communities.

First mistake...wanting to go to California.

Went downhill from there.

First mistake trying to hitchhike across the US where many states outlawed hitchhiking
Of course it had to be an Eagles fan.

Also it went around, neatherlands and germany not really all of europe in reality it's only really made it across canada.

You know if it was a white person I would call them "White trash" (In fact I did today use White Trash on a bunch of white kids breaking into cars)

But I can't use the N word because that would make me racist.

90% of philly is a shithole. some parts of center city, south philly and the northeast are still relatively still safe but its shrinking fast.
