I have always watched e3 coverage on tv. For a while I caught it on g4 then spike started covering the event. Well g4 is out of business and I looked ahead on the guide and spike has nothing.

As far as floor coverage, I am not sure who will be doing if any of that. I know IGN used to be big on it as well as Gamespot but not sure if they will be streaming this year. For press conferences you can always go to IGN, Joystiq, Kotaku, Twitch, Gamespot, Polygon pretty much any major gaming blog will have live streams to these.

Twitch.tv will have its own coverage. Gametrailers.com will be streaming live via Twitch.

Basically, just go to Twitch ;).

I miss the days of zdtv/techtv with live coverage of E3. Hell even G4 was better than nothing.:(

yeah. E3 was the only time id use G4. Usually with streaming they try and get you to register or pay for access is why i always stayed away from it.

Spike TV has the microsoft press event and hour or so E3 special. Youtube and Twitch should have stuff. Also if you have Xbox one they should be daily content throughout E3. But I do miss the days where it was on television, I'm still at the age where I like to sit on my couch watch shit on TV.

At this point, TV is so irrelevant towards gaming that there really is no point. Spike is the closest thing to it, and their gaming coverage is laughable at best.

There's so much tech news that I don't understand why a show like TechTV couldn't survive. We have CNN live coverage on smoke 24/7 until they see fire but we can't somehow condense 100s of blog posts a day on tech and game industry into that time window? G4 killed it by adding too much pop culture crap and useless filler shows like Cops, Campus PD, Cheaters, they even shoved Lost marathons in there for 3-4 episodes a day which was ridiculous. I would love a channel I could just tune into that could randomly be a segment on any of the following.

-Tech news (PC hardware releases, futuristic technology, new gadgets, new company ventures, tech industry people related news)
-Hardware Benchmarking (Testing new state of the art PC and gaming laptop hardware on games and giving real world results)
-Game Reviews (Random gameplay and reviews on new releases of the week)
-Mobile (Reviews on the latest in handheld technology, phones, tablets etc..)
-Insert random funny tech related show-
-Competitive Gaming News (Coverage on popular gaming tournmanets, CS:GO, DOTA, Smash, Fighting, etc..)
-Convention Coverage (Comic-Con, E3, GDC, random comic/anime/tech conventions)
-Advanced Gaming (Speedruns, glitches, tips and tricks)
-Nostalgia Nights (Looking back on older games and technology, hell sign on people like Jontron and AVGN and put their videos on here)
-Geek Podcast/talk show (Throw in some interviews with popular tech/gaming industry people and tell some funny/interesting stories)
-Anime/Movie Picks (Talk about new anime or movie releases, give reviews and recommendations etc..)
-DIY PC (How to build/upgrade your own PC, do software tweaks, optimize, have people call in with questions live)
-Console Corner (Talk about the latest consoles and console exclusives)

They can even throw in some relevant filler now and then. But you get the point.

Thats what G4Techtv was supposed to be but comcast fucked it up. Its probably not going to happen with that demographic being associated with cord cutting. They look at it being more viable to do it online. It being online isn't really a bad thing, problem is its all few 2-5 minute videos and the shit is scattered between different sources. This year I think Geoff Keighly is doing something youtube I'll be interested to see what that is like. The biggest thing is putting in a format that is entertaining as well as informative.

You just described TechTv. That's exactly what it was before it was ruined by the G4/comcast merger. The screen savers and call for help, just to name two of my favorite shows, I watched every day. Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton.

Holy shit I had no idea they remade the show on youtube. Apparently this is the new TSS. I'm stoked.

I never got to experience TechTV in its original glory :( Only the final days right before the G4 merger. I then rarely watched G4 just to see it started to go downhill which was apparent within the first year of the merger. Kevin P. was the final thread holding that network up until he left then it was just a free fall to closure. They got rid of Adam Sessler and finally closed down AOTS and X-Play and it became a zombie for over a year.

You forgot continuous re-runs of Cops and Cheaters! This is what real gamers want. ROFL

I'll never forgive G4 for killing my tech tv :-(

I loved TechTV. Whats surprising is I lived in a small town in Maine that managed to get ZDTV which then became TechTV because CNET bought ZDnet but they didn't own the rights to ZDTV. I was 16 years old when it the network started and I watched it religiously every day. From Gamespot TV, The Screen Savers, Call for Help, and Fresh Gear. The first few months or so of the merger was great. You got everything techtv had to offer plus the G4 shows icons, filter, and cheat to name a few.

Then they fired the people that didn't want to move from San Francisco to L.A. So people like Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton were gone. Only a few people moved down to L.A.(Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb to name a few) it didn't take long for the Tech shows to start migrating away and there were only gaming shows. Then those slowly starting filtering away then you had AOTS and X-Play which were shitty versions of the Screen Savers and Extended Play. Then obviously came the constant reruns of cheaters and cops.

Once they started to try be SpikeTV 2.0 the network was doomed. I'm still bitter about it and it was over 10 years ago. I'm glad I'm not in an area where Comcast is a provider because I have no desire to ever support them in any way.

There is a market for actual tech tv of course, but the decisions are made by suits and they would never approve it.

Because all the shows have been so incredibly lame.

It won't even let me watch at 1080 so what's the point. And 720 chops every now and then. Twitch stream runs fine though but ugly.

YouTube runs at 1080p 60FPS while Twitch is only 720p, so I'll be sticking to YouTube for now.

Never played Minecraft in my life, but I will buy it when the HoloLens comes out.

Did MS pay for Spike to carry their event live? No coverage for any of the other conferences.

God damn it not this Old Republic MMO garbage again. I guess we will never get a good KOTOR again.

How in the world did my phone think to post a notification for the youtube stream?

Every time I hear mobile I just wanna shut it off. Seriously that shit doesn't belong here.
