Not looking for price checks, just wondering about the best place to sell a 2013 15" rmbp. I'm not sure I want to deal with ebay.

There is here and you still have the possibility of a chargeback through paypal, though there aren't as many scammers here as ebay.

There is craigslist but I would only take cash in that case as I don't want a bad check, though I've always found craigslist meet ups to be sketchy, I would probably meet in a police station for this as its a high value item.

Any other options?

I've actually had good luck on CL. I unloaded two MBP's that way. Just price your Macbook appropriately and be patient (as of course you'll deal with annoying lowballers). Of course your mileage may vary. I live in the greater LA area, so I have a large market of tech enthusiasts to possibly sell to.

Other options that are excellent: The [H] of course! MBP's are bought and sold here all the time. Once again, price appropriately, bump every 6 hours and be patient. Excellent images and detailed descriptions go a long way.

I've used CL every time I've sold my MacBooks, probably about 5 or 6 since 2006, trading up, etc..

Always cash, always at a bank or an actual Apple store, heck, even police stations allow CL meetups there now.

Never had any issues with selling items on CL, especially many Apple products. Just meet at a public location such as a coffee shop. And take cash only.

I say CL also not sure why but CL people love MAC stuff. Every time I put something on there they want to trade me MAC stuff lol. I havent had any issues with CL. Also keep a shot gun in the trunk just in case lol.

CL is a good way to unload a macbook and charge a decent price. Ebay you will likely be able to charge less and have fees taken on top of that. I have sold 2 macbooks on CL and 1 on ebay and the CL were definitely easier and more profitable for me.

Another vote for CL. Just be aware of your surroundings. I would conduct the transaction in the parking lot of a local police department. There have been several cases in San Diego County (Southern California) were buyers have been robbed / hurt selling items from CL. Good luck.
