Smallville Fans! Season 1 $18.50

My local WalMart, and the one fifty miles away from here that I recently visited, had seasons 1-4 of Smallville for 14.88 each.
 
Are Smallville fans any good? Never heard of them. I've been using Cougar fans and they have a pretty good CFM and they are quiet.

Although perhaps this deal may be more suited to those new to the show, if you're any sort of serious fan you probably have all the seasons.
 
I think Smallville is the greatest superhero TV show of all time though it was inconsistent in quality and may have run two or three seasons longer than it should have to be consistency good.

Superman is a good in the classic sense, extremely powerful yet not omnipotent. But his character is beyond reproach unlike the unlike the classic gods. He doesn't lust for power but for doing the right thing which given his power is often a struggle.
 
This is $11.99 at Amazon. OP may want to update post to reflect better deals (though this may be the new norm...been this price for 2 weeks).

Inconsistant is a great term for Smallville. It's high points were very high but the lows were also very low. Lana Lang should have been ditched in season 1. Kristen Kreuk is a terrible actress and there was zero screen chemistry between her and Tom Welling. The series had no idea what to do with most of it's villians and ended up wasting the more interesting ones like Zod and Brainiac. The no flying rule for the series really ended up hurting it in the long run as it made Clark look kind of dumb or just incredibly dense at several points later on. Rosenbaum's departure really should have been the end of the series, they never managed to recover from it and they couldn't keep interesting plots going long enough or resolve them good enough to reach the old high moments.

All that said I really liked Welling as Clark. I'm not a Superman fan, but Wellings potrayal of a young Clark made him interesting and easier to identify with. He had flaws and made mistakes, it made him feel more like a real character while also still feeling like Superman. Rosenbaum was an excellent Lex and John Glover was a delight every time he appeared on screen.

It's still too early to tell but season to season I like Arrow more than Smallville at the moment. Hopefully Arrow will have the decency to end once the plots have clearly run their course.
 
Uh how could you have possibly bumped this thread? The entire series is cheap as dirt these days...
