I think this is the right area for this, but anyway TWC is rolling a replacement for their 100/5 tier. If you call and get the new modem same price a lot faster speed. I swapped the modem early and today when I downloading something I noticed I was breaking 30 Megabytes actual throughput, so I checked and http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3849417546 off internode I'm getting 320 and my up loads are being throttled right around 20 Megabits, which is better than 5 Mbps. Plus the new modems are actually half way decent bridges which is funny since they are still arris products. But apperantly cisco bought arris some where along the line if you dig through arris's site for details on the new modems. What I'm really liking is that I went from three pieces of gear to one. I'm not sure I'm happy with taking out the second hardware firewall but wireless on the cable companies bridge is nicer than my RT-66AC. That is still messing with my head. Then again I'm guessing the cable companies figured out that some of us would rather get TV through the net and just decided to make sure they are the net provider, or they want to block comcast from taking them over and they figure comcast is not going to want to take on a bunch of really high end service contacts with end users instead of professional clients.
