I know most of you aren't video game golf fans but I am one and wanted to make you all aware of a title that's out in early access mode for PC and is being released for PC/X1/PS4 very soon.

The thing I like most about it is the course designer is really good and I've designed 6 courses now. The somewhat revolutionary feature is courses designed on any platform will be playable on all the others.

No cross platform multiplay unfortunately but the course sharing is cool.

This is SO cool! I can see someone designing a course and then someday having it built!

I'm a very avid golfer in real life and always loved the EA Tiger games.
 
So this is what SimGolf looks like 20 years on...

Are you playing with a controller or mouse, and how does it feel? Says they're officially released (no longer early access) next Tuesday, so I'm guessing what's out there is fairly complete.
 
I play with an xbox 360 controller on my pc

swing is using the thumb stick down then up - like a console game

No silly powerups or outfits etc... just golf with realistic driver distances etc.
 
Looks awesome. I enjoy both real golf and video game golf. They're two separate things in my book. That being said, I really hope real golf simulators come down in price soon. I'd love the convenience of having one, but at the current price tag for ones that do direction & spin, they're simply far out of reasonable.
 
With Rory McIroy's game out this week, it seems like the people behind the Golf Club have decided to put their game on sale.

Any of you still playing this? Has this game held up well in this past year? If I purchase this, should I also purchase the $10 DLC that adds season mode?
