So after trouble shooting my new/used build I found the one part that was bought new and that I had owned through 3 systems was bad... my Corsair 32gb DDR3 quad channel kit :(

I have never dealt with an RMA with Corsair and was thinking of a clever way of getting the serial number off the ram sticks when using the pc..... (bad idea and CPU ID didnt show SN)

I started the RMA process anticipating needing to talk to some tech or email back and forth (like i have with so many manufactures of the 15 years I have been building PCs) and it was great to find out that not only is the process completely automated and they will ship first (with CC pending) and they dont need a Serial number (since all their ram is lifetime warranted)

Anyways, it suck the ram is bad (memtest error in about 2 mins) and it was never OCed..... always ran on a divider...

I just figured most people make posts ranting and raving about how crappy a companies support is (Comcast, ATT and such) it is nice to see companies do it well!

Cheer Corsair!

It's been years since I've had to deal with eVGA's RMA process, but I've dealt with them quite a few times before, and my experience with them and their customer support is why I continue to buy eVGA products. A lot of mah dawgz roll with eVGA for the same reason. Not sure if they are still as good these days, but I would like to assume they are. Anyways, glad you had a good experience with the Corsair RMA process. Indeed, we definitely need more accounts of great experiences with a company's customer service and RMA processes and whatnot. People need to spread the word on dat shiznit, so that we ALL know wassup.

Your RMA experience is different from mine. Still waiting for my power supply to come in. Have to submit a ticket. Then wait for them to reply and tell me they need proof of purchase. Then wait a couple more days and they gave me an RMA number. I guess its better if you are returning memory.

I have had a couple of recent experiences with Corsair RMA that have gone well. I had a stick of ram go bad and they sent my replacement kit out next day even though I didn't opt for the more expensive expedited shipping option. I also contacted them after I had a moment of nerd rage and hit my k70 keyboard and broke one of the legs on it. I inquired about purchasing a new set from them and they asked me for a copy of my receipt and sent me a set free of charge.

as you say in the title nobody wants to have to use it, but when you do its good to know that you will be taken care of.

Shit, Corsair has lifetime warranty on RAM? I have two sticks of Dominator memory from a quad-channel kit that have apparently gone bad. Maybe I should hit them up. I mean, I did fucking pay almost $500 for it. (Why the hell did I pay so much for RAM? Never again.)
