Well, I recently upgraded my GPU's to a R9/290x and R9/295x2. My ZXR was working perfectly with my Titans, however...no audio devices show up with the new AMD cards installed.

I am kind of at a lost. My onboard works fine when I have it enabled. But no go with the ZXR...any clue as to what could be wrong?

Specs in Bioline.

From your post I understand that you checked that under playback devices to see if the zxr shows up.Correct?

Try resetting the card, maybe you bumped it, could try a driver reinstall also

Tried all of the above, nothing. I can swap out the AMD cards with an older Nvidia 580GTX card and the SB ZXR works perfectly. I tried to disable fastboot, no go...

Tried another slot, no go...

That's very strange. Wondering if the board thinks it's out of PCIE lanes or something. Have you tried swapping the 290x and 295x2 slots?

YEah, done that too. Next I am going to try to test one card at a time. I'll post back in a bit.

Prob this - my last mobo had this config:

1x
16x
1x
16x

but when using 2 GPUs I'd have to configure the 2nd slot to only use 8x in the BIOS in order to use either of the 1x lanes.

I always run into this problem everytime I update my video card drivers. Here's my solution.

1) Uninstall video card drivers.
2) Uninstall ZXR drivers.
3) Install video card drivers.
4) Install ZXR drivers.

Good advice all!!! Thank you!!!! I will dig deep tomorrow and try everything listed.

If its not working try putting your computer to sleep several times (it can take up to 10 if you get really unlucky, in my experience) and when you wake it up see if the card magically works again (this is assuming your drivers are installed).

Someone else on the forum posted this and it works for me.

*UPDATE*

So I finally got around to swapping the cards. I had to stick with the 290x as my primary because I do not have a Mini-DP to DP cable for the 295x2.

I removed the 295x2 and plugged back in the SB-ZXR into the PCIEx1 slot above the video card, no go. I then plugged the ZXR into the PCIEx1 slot below the 290x, again no go. I then plugged the ZXR into the the PCIEx4 slot...Bingo!!! it worked. I then plugged my 295x2 into the other PCIEx16 slot, the ZXR worked again.

So I am left to believe that the PCIEx1 slots with graphics cards plugged in are somehow disabled. I did not move the 290x to the other slot and try the other way.

I will get around to swapping the 290x into the other PCIE slot and try to plug the ZXR into one of those other slots.
