Budget PC speakers - whats the popular route?

It's time for a proper amp and speakers half your size. It will probably work out cheaper than some poxy little pc sound system.

I've run into the same issue with several orders lately. On top of that they now charge tax in my state. At this point its a wash between getting Amazon in a timely manner and just going to a B&M.

Yeah, their shipping sucks. I ordered some cheap (they sound better than their price impresses) microlab bookshelfs with free-shipping. They hadn't shipped the speakers in four-to-five days since the order was placed, so I shot them an email. Their statement assured me that this delay was due to my choice of free-shipping (yeah right), and. as a one time courtesy, they would change the order to one-day shipping. Naturally, I was ecstatic.

I wake up the following day to an email informing me that the product actually wouldn't ship until three-weeks later; I guess they ran out of speakers? I never received an explanation, but didn't care. Canceled. Ordered from Wal-Mart, problem solved.

Just wanted to add that I did finally get the MB42X set in last Sunday.... I've been putting them through their paces all week and I'm really really impressed. I'll make a thread with my thoughts in the next few days....

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Miccas. The more I listen to them the more I like them. They are the best audio purchase I've made for the dollar in quite some time.
