Win7/Win8 support for 5.25" floppy?

I was digging through the garage and found a few old systems from the late 80's/early 90's and they both have 5.25" floppy drives. Inside one of them I even found my old copy of MegaMan2 for DOS that came on a 5.25" floppy :D

I was thinking of putting one of the 5.25" drives into my main rig just for fun/nostalgia. Has anyone else done this and knows if Win7 and/or Win8 has any native support for 5.25" floppies? I know I put Win7 on an old Dell a year ago or so that still had a 3.5" floppy drive, but I don't remember checking to see if the floppy drive still worked afterward or not...

Eh, good luck finding anything (motherboard wise) currently available with the needed floppy headers.

I think that it would be a lot easier to emulate the game instead of trying to get ancient hardware like that to work on a modern system.

I've used a USB 3.5" floppy drive on Windows 7. I had a dual-floppy 5.25"/3.5" drive under Win7 or Vista 64bit for a couple of years. But I'm not sure I actually used the 5.25" drive for anything, so not sure it worked. But it showed up and Windows recognized both floppy drives.
