I recently upgraded from a 256gb SSD to a newer/faster 120gb SSD. How full can I fill the 120gb without noticing a performance decrease? Its at 88gb out of 111gb right now. Id like to load another 20gb game but i'll wait for advice.

my older ssd is a crucial M4 256gb and my newer ssd is a Samsung 840 Pro 120gb. I'm thinking since I probably don't notice a whole lot of real world difference, I may just go back to my bigger one

Can you run both? Keep the OS on the 120 and load games onto the 256 (with Origin and Steam, this can be a bit of a challenge and you may have to move your library, but its not impossible). I am thinking of doing similar to keep my OS drive clean.

My plan is to use one of them for a laptop. So, I'm just asking for advice on "How full can I fill an SSD without sacrificing performance?"

Well fill it up, when you notice it slowing own, delete some crap.

When the SSD's first came out, most of the research I did said to not use more then 50% of the drive. You can probably push that a bit. I just purchased two Corsair Neutron GTX's and have them in RAID 0. These things fly. I have a 10k raptor for everything else.

My first ssd was 30GB. Just imaging only using half of that space makes mu head hurt.
