Damn, we definitely need more judges like this on the bench!

And that's where District Court Judge William Alsup - he of Oracle v. Google fame -- rendered a decision that was likely less palatable to NPS than had he dismissed the suit outright: He ordered NPS to essentially teach the jury a course in Patent Trolling 101 by defending the dirty tricks that got the case tossed out of Texas.
 
I did not quite understand it all. But basically a troll just got Trolled ?
 
YEAH, a judge that is not in the pocket of special interest.
Patent trolls are the biggest killer of innovation on the planet. If you have a great idea that you would like to bring to market; even if you do a patent search that comes up with no similar products, some patent troll will come out of the closet and claim you are infringing on their product or intellectual property. You better be lawyered up and have thousands to burn to just prove you idea is your own. .
