Connecting Ps3 to Auzentech X-FI HomeTheater Hd via Hdmi in, and trying to output sound with analog conccetions to gigaworks g750.

So my problem is that ps3 says "this hdmi device cannot be used for audio output".
1. Hdmi cable from ps3 is connected to soundcard's hdmi in port.
2. From hdmi out cable is connected to my display (works ok, video is showing)
3. From analog output in soundcard, 4 analog cables connected to gigaworks g750 speakers (no sound)

How can I fix this tried (i think) every variation from auzentech and windows speaker configurations to get sound to speakers, but no dice. Is it even possible to route ps3 sounds this way (at least 1 forum post said it would be).

Please help so I can get to play with my new ps3 (super slim 500gb) last of us :D

Thank yo and post questions if you want to know more about setup.

The HDMI In on the HTHD isn't an audio in, it's a video passthrough so the card can add its own audio to the output.

Well fuck then, that explains. Only way to get audio in is with line in then - so I am stuck on 2.1 audio then, damn...
